Haven't commented before, but having been to the SVR, I am interested in this route, sadly I don't think any of the photos I have (from this year) would be any good for referencing but if you want to look at them you are more than welcome (PM me and we can sort it out)

Keep going!

I can't speak for everyone but I promise you the interest is there for this from my end Matt!

I've heard your project mentioned a couple of times around the railway since you started so I can promise you that there at the very least several SVR volunteers that are excited to see what our beloved railway looks like in RW3. I understand that it is a big undertaking for you but I hope you stick with it, the GCR makes it clear to everyone just what you are capable of.

Good luck!
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks for the above comments chaps! The thought of my efforts being talked about at the great railway itself made go all tingly!! :D

@Ben I may well be in touch at some stage once I've worked out what you could help me with. What are you best at? I realise you're busy with your own project of course. But If you could do a couple of re-skins that'll make some default items look like something I need? I'm not quite sure how that works mind! :-?

I'd say thats the biggest hurdle at the moment. There are a few key buildings around the line that have absolutely no alternatives currently available! And without some of these it all seems a bit pointless!

The GCR only really took off and came to life when the correct assets came along! When your building a favourite preserved line, default assets - or any other for that matter - as alternatives just don't cut it, because on a preserved line you notice everything due to slower(but only slightly slower sometimes!! ) speeds!

Anyway, I'm gonna send the route off to Tony to get the signalling done and hopefully things will be in better shape afterwards.

Cheers

Hi

Very glad to see the route isn't being completely abandoned. It looks excellent from the shots you've posted so far.

Cheers

There are some fairly decent photos of the construction of Kidderminster town station canopy on here.
http://www.kfriends.org.uk/

Its pretty much a by the numbers GWR station, albeit built 40 years after the company became defunct. Im sure there are some drawings of this type available, it was used in Gloucester and Ross on Wye, and numerous other locations.

Some progress around Arley

I've started working around Arley recently. I've also been adding some super elevation on the run up to Bewdley tunnel and the reverse curves, north of Bewdley.

I hope to have some news about this project soon.......................watch this space! 8)

Regards

Matt

Beautiful stuff, Matt, shame the track does no justice to the magnificence of the route.

I've put default track back in and my own track rule for a particular reason

But yes I agree that it could look an awful lot better!

Thanks mate

What made you lose the IOW track Matt?, was it just a dependancy thing?
