Is anyone going to make this?
I'm putting up this thread as the result of a request to separate out 'requests' from the other posts. There is has been no objection to a separate thread on the topic by the mods.
Requests for certain objects to be built, or just plain enquiries whether some author is contemplating making one, (excluding routes) is always a touchy subject. Some people object to such requests as being pushy and the usual retort is, why not get cracking and do it yourself? Okay, that takes care of the hysterics, let's move on.....
In my opinion, as a model author since day one of MSTS and earlier as a modeler for FU2/3, I don't have a problem with requests or enquiries. Indeed, over 60% of projects for MSTS1/TRS/RS/RW I've done, or are currently engaged in, have been as the result of requests and enquiries of interest. I think most authors see this as encouraging and a source of ideas for possible future projects. Of course, the model author is the final abiter of what he, or she, wants to do, end of story.
Here are a few simple rules for marrying my daughter, errrr, sorry, for requesting, or making enquiries about models, whether for MPU/stock/scenery objects. Sorry rules in the next post....the IE 8 posting bug has struck again!
1) Give a valid reason why you want a particular model, be it of the type MPU/scenery/rollingstock, ie - is it for a route you're building?
2) Offer to cooperate by way of providing resource material, that, IME, can be the decider by an author contemplating whether to be involved..
3) Don't be pushy, be polite and respect the decision, either way, of the author. (There are many reasons why the author might not choose to be involved.)
Cheers Bazza

I would love to have access to the irish Railway stock, in particular it's classing orange stock (new green colour trains are making their way onto the tracks but the orange rolling stock is still very present). Here are some photos.

I'm planning to create the Waterford to Dublin route and would be great to have the Irish Rail stock to run on it.

Paul - your second photo is larger than the maximum allowed size of 800 x 600 - could you re-size it please?

I'm afraid I can't. These are externally linked photos, I don't have direct access to them. I didn't know the forum has a 800 x 600 max for images, it seems to be displaying fine for me. If it's too big, you can edit the post to remove it. Sorry about that.

Just want to say I'm surprised this topic hasn't taken off. I was sure there would be loads of requests in here by now.

I would love to see a Hughes crab in rail works as they are my favourite loco and would be very useful on a variety of routes

I have many plans of these engines which I will be willing to send. When I get round to photocopying them. Although some of the plans are a bit tricky to understand.
Edward.

I like the route, hope you complete it. I unfortunalty cannot assist you with what you need to complete it, but I can offer my best wishes and encouragement.tompark89 wrote:Hi Guys
