What is SimTrain's SBB Route 1 like?

The locos and rolling stock look good and I though they might add some variety to the Lake Constance: Schaffhausen – Kreuzlingen route. Are they appropriate for it?

I like the route but it's getting a bit old on the locos don't have the newer safety systems as it is almost like AWS.
I don't think anything in SBB1 would be suitable for the Lake Constance: Schaffhausen – Kreuzlingen route as it does not see any mainline express trains.

The SBB1 route does have it's own route which is a mainline although you only get the Re4/4II as a player loco.

Does Lake Constance: Schaffhausen – Kreuzlingen see any freight or engineer's trains. If so, what's the likely traction please?

I think SBB Cargo loks would work any freight over the line
    Re420, Re421, Re482

I watched this video and did not spot any freight in the siding the train went past apart from at Kreuzlingen where there is a freight of Orange containers - maybe waste?
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=dId_ytmcawc

This is the timetable showing all trains on the line - Schaffhausen on the left and Kreuzlingen just past halfway
    www.fahrplanfelder.ch/fileadmin/fap_pdf ... 2/G771.pdf
The trains in Red are passenger trains and in Blue are freight - the train number is something like 11222 17 with the 17 indicating the days of the week it runs - Monday to Sunday in this case

Other lines are on this page

The SBB1 route is not a bad price and the line does have a mix of freight and passenger workings
    https://www.simtrain.ch/pi/Weihnachts-A ... ute-1.html

Have a look at the two videos on the page. The top one features the Trainworx Re4/4II and the lower version the default loco.

At the bottom there are screenshots of the route

And this is the timetable https://www.fahrplanfelder.ch/fileadmin ... 2/G641.pdf
A double track international route - RailJet and other trains use the line to Sargans where they branch off - has a lot of traffic

Peter, thanks for your helpful information.

I've also found google maps to be helpful with Lake Constance. That shows lots of RABe 526 GTW 2/8 along the route (a la Rivet) but what also looks like a DPZ at Kreuzlingen station and what I think may be a Br294 in the sidings at Etzwilen with possibly some engineers wagons. Street View is also helpful as it's comprehensive in Switzerland and that shows lots of modern carriages being stabled at Etzwilen as well as whole trains of flat wagons.

I believe Etzwilen also has some kind of heritage railway set-up, so with that you could believably have almost any occasional heritage movement you want.

Here's the turntable with an occupant.

P.S. I've just found out that the preserved Etzwilen-Singen route terminates here. https://www.etzwilen-singen.ch/

I also had a look at Kreuzlingen in Google Street view and was surprised to see a DB 146 and Double Deck stock but I could not see a service it might have operated from Konstanz
    Don't know if this works
    https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@47.65305 ... 6656?hl=en
But from the date it was 8 years ago

If it helps this is the passenger timetable for the line so you can see where trains cross and how much they are allowed
    https://www.fahrplanfelder.ch/fileadmin ... 22/820.pdf

I looked on the Simtrain website and purchased a Re4/4II which is a newer model that the one provided with SBB1 route
https://www.simtrain.ch/pi/Add-ons-TS20 ... ck-04.html - it has dynamic numbers so you can change it to one of the other Cargo loks
And a proper DB Pantograph at one end
    https://peter749.piwigo.com/picture?/31 ... ember_2009
    Ok for £6.05 GBP
