Probably in any one of many .ap archives; signals are often duplicated with DTG route packages.
RW tools should give you the full path to the .bin file--which route is it *missing* from?

There are similar files (but I couldn't find the one you show) in
STEAM\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Thomson\EandG\RailNetwork\Signals\Pro Signals\Pro Signal Posts
That lists a G Pro L4a TH9 C.bin

Suggest you go to the site https://www.voidtools.com/ and download the program 'Everything'
running that program will display every instance of the file you seek, even if in zip files.

Thanks for helping me locate where that bin file is located.

I will explain why I wanted to know, later today, when I get time. But it is to do with a slight issue when I am making my periodic back ups of my railworks folder. It only started happening a few months ago.

Thanks again for all your help and suggestions.

The reason I asked the question about that particular bin file is because it has started cropping up after I have done a full back up of my railworks folder onto my removable hard drive.

The procedure I have always used when making a back up is, that I first create a new folder on my rem hard drive, and call it for example "Railworks Back Up 27" or whatever the next number is going to be. I then simply copy the contents of my Main Railworks folder into the newly created back up folder. Due to the size of my folder, I leave this running overnight, as it usually takes around 4 hours or more to complete. In the morning, I will check it has finished. I then check the folder sizes of the original and the back up folders match exactly, and bobs your uncle ! However, the last few months or so when creating a back up, I find that at the end of the process I have the comment "The Destination already has a file named Pro L4A TH9 TC left.bin" and am asked if I want to overwrite it, or skip it ? I usually choose "skip it". But then when I check the number of files and folders in both locations, I find that the original Railworks folder has precisely ONE file more than in the "back up" folder I have created.

Can anyone explain why this is happening now, when it never did happen in the past, and if it should be of any concern ?

Under Windows, you shouldn't see that file at all--it's supposed to be in a .ap archive.(That is if it actually is the WCML-S one)
Have you extracted the contents of your .ap archives and still kept the .ap's themselves in situ?

Do you get the same message if you just copy the WCML-S assets folder over to your removable drive??
