Atomic Systems

This is a bit of a puzzler for me as it's not something I've ever had to deal with before.
I have several standard scenarios for a route that show in RW Tools, are editable in-game, are playable if you open editor and load from there.
I ran a scenario OK, even made a 'save' and that appears in the scenarios folder but on loading game still nothing.
Only one scenario from another author appears in the scenario selection box when loading the game and runs fine. Had a look to see if I could see an entry in the .xml or .bin files that was different from the ones that don't show but couldn't spot anything there.(That's not to say there isn't a difference but when you're just being hopeful and not knowing what you're looking for - well I'm curious but not knowledgeable )
I tried cloning hoping that something magic will happen but nothing appears (well worth a try!)
Anyone know where to look? Can't be much wrong - can there? (Ever hopeful)

Are any of them scenarios that start with you waiting for a train, then clicking on it to take over the driving?

No, just ordinary standard scenarios where you appear alongside the train (at the marker?) and press 1 to go into cab view.

Name one of the scenarios, and of course the route it's set on, and we'd all be able to test on our installations.

Do you have the Romanian payware route 412 Jibou-Zalau-Sarmasag by RailStudios?
It comes with 13 scenarios. The only one which shows is Regio 4072 v2 which uses a reskinned DB642/RSSLO VT642
and there's 1 free roam which shows in it's respective tab.

Can you post the first 40 or so lines of that scenario's ScenarioProperties.xml file in here, and the same chunk from one that doesn't show in the "Drive" menu?

Just check that there are not two separate scenario folders in the route or a sub-folder in the scenario folder itself.

Thanks Peter but all looks as it should - and the game can find the scenarios through editor and they appear in RW Tools too..

How are you looking for the scenarios? If they're Standard but Timetabled they won't show if you click on the route's icon in the scenario selection screen but will show if you look under the text based listing on that screen if bring that up instead.

So do you know why? or is it one of the games mysteries?

That could be why that don't show in the route icon selection drop down?

AFAIK that's the way the game works with timetabled scenarios. A fair number of the scenarios that come with enhancement packs, loco and unit addons from AP are timetabled and the only way I've ever found them is via the text list.

Could be. Are they of the type that you join the train by clicking on it as it rolls into a station?

What's interesting is that according to RW Tools they are not Timetabled (purple) but Standard (Black)
Gary mentioned the clicking on the train to take it over - a feature that can be employed by timetabled scenarios - but these are the normal, arrive at the marker outside the train and press 1 to enter the cab.
I'm discovering that 3 of the 'missing' scenarios use the same loco - maybe an error on that particular loco somewhere?
Still intrigued/investigating.
