If everybody ignored uncorroborated advice, how would it ever become corroborated?

Re: SSD/ M2 SSD
I didn't expect all of that from what I thought was a relatively simple question. On the other hand I did find it useful and informative, so I am glad I asked the question.
As usual you can always find someone to help or advise.
Thanks again folks.

Thanks to Peter and gptech for their replies. I was aware that an M.2 drive was an SSD but wasn't sure if the advice I'd seen previously about having the OS and TS on separate drives was primarily applicable to mechanical drives and if the much faster SSD drives of whichever variety had significantly reduced any benefit of separating them.

Re: SSD/ M2 SSD
Essentially, yes Andy, though there are still benefits that aren't particularly noticeable, possibly even insignificant to many PC users, but they're there!
Now prices of SSDs have dropped the cost benefit of a spinning drive for data that doesn't fast read/writes (back ups/archives/long term storage/rarely used programs etc) is no longer such a major influencing factor to be considered when looking for a new/supplementary drive.

Re: SSD/ M2 SSD
Just ordered a WD 2TB M.2 as my Samsung SSD is running out of space for my TS/other game installations bargain at £184. Plus I won't need to compress it this time! (winks at Gary).
