Stephen
Thanks for that.
But even NZ rail do not use the term Midland Line but Trans Alpine journey!
I only ever knew it as the Trans Alpine. :)

It suits me fine with the era and they do have two Steam Locos on the burner.
A J or Ja and the mighty Kb. great news for we kettle lovers.
If it floats yer boat all well and good! :D
As for me, I got a refund, would only run it a few times and that would be it for me, like the IOW route but more pretty.
Best Regards

All the issues I was having with this spectacular route were related to an issue with my 2021 installation.
It now works fine on my 2019 version of Train Simulator.

I have now relegated myself back to my cave as I realise I am a credniform troglodyte or a 'sieve headed cave dweller'.

Erm... There's quite a lot of metre-gauge stock around. Plenty of NZ freeware on http://www.tsnz.co.nz/, Brazilian freeware and payware on https://www.machine-rail.com/, French freeware on https://ajrailsim.pierreg.org/ and https://ajrailsim.pierreg.org/, Greek freeware on https://www.amnizia.org/, South African payware in the Johanstream products for DTG, Japanese and N.American payware (again on DTG), Britkits N.American kit on http://dickyjim.com/, Bernd K Diehl's freeware on http://berndkdiehl.eu/Railworks.htm, and so on. And, of course, ChrisTrains' Auckland DMU (https://www.christrains.com/en/index.html).

You should be able to find something r.e.a.s.o.n.a.b.l.y appropriate that you like in that lot...

Hi guys

TSNZ has posted a Temporary patch to the route (DTG will also push it officially)

www.tsnz.co.nz/browse.php?latest=The%20 ... [Temporary]

From the attached text file:

MIDLAND LINE PATCH 1 [TEMPORARY] 26 February 2021

This is a temporary file until Dovetail Games rolls out the official patch via Steam.
To install, extract this zip into your:
Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\
Directory. Overwrite any files if prompted.

Fixes, among other things:
Route Core Fixes:
Various Floating Scenery Items
Missing Embankment Lofts
Alters visibility settings for some objects
Adds some missing infrastructure items to support points motors etc

Scenario Fixes:
Freeroams remade in existing file structure due to OOM errors after loco script updates, other scenarios unaffected

Asset Fixes:
Rescripted DJ Vigilance Monitor
Improved Orientation Detection on all stock (giving better FPS)
H key now controls headlights on Eo, DJ
Carriage Numberplate texture fixed
Weathered DJ texture fixed
Gorse/Broom Desaturated
DJ exhaust improved
Coaling Crane meshes fixed
Rolling Stock LOD improvements
Locomotive Audio Tweaks
Eo switches on real wall more responsive

Thanks,
Stefan and Ryan,

That is good news, I will wait for the DTG update as I am currently doing some scenarios for the Workshop.

Roland.
