No. The errant pathing is due to that series of directories existing on the route authors PC. Possibly reskins forgotten about and not included, or just straight copies.
Ah yes, I suspected that might be the case.

I can provide links to the "Buildings2" and "FP SCM Buildings5" directories that will keep the route happy, but the reference in Procedural2 has no equivalent bin file in the actual Procedural directory. I might just create a copy of "Dock_Wall.bin" and name it "Dock_Wall-d.bin" and see what happens.

Thanks mate,
Trevor.

Far simpler just to swap them out with RW Tools, and even simpler to just do nothing until any missing files are made available. How noticeable is their absence in game play?

Yah, I reckon that just ignoring them may well be the 'best' option. If I ever see a Milk Bottle instead of a building, or a dock wall, then I guess I will know where they are used.

No your not...your problem is that the .GeiPcDx isn't being displayed. That's what calls for the textures, so if it ain't there there's nothing asking for textures to be rendered.

A missing Geo or script are the most likely reasons.

Correct Gary...I would agree entirely as to what the cause is. Normally I would copy any Geo's from the DEFAULT BR Class 07 engine file folder, over to the newly installed BSC Blue Class 07 folder. And guess what....as far as I can tell, I have done that ! But still all I get is couplings showing. If I swap it out for the DEFAULT BR Class 07 it shows up perfectly. The files in both locos engine folder now match up as far as I can tell...so I am stumped !

Anyone else suggest anything to help ?

Thanks

Hello Derek are you making sure you read the manual that comes with the reskin. There is 2 GeoPcDx files you need to copy to the reskin folder.

You need to extract both files “Class 14 Green.GeoPcDx” and “LP Cab.GeoPcDx”.

Hope that helps you.

Want to check that?...the copy I downloaded earlier states the files are class07.GeoPcDx and 07_cab.GeoPcDx

Derek, what's the full path to the Class07_engine_BSC_Blue.bin file for the reskin in your installation?

Hi Newbuoy

I got things sorted in the end. The problem was I hadnt copied over the "cabview" geos. Its unusual to have to do this so I hadnt noticed.

Not sure what a Class 14 geo in your message to me, has to do with a Class 07 though ?

Cheers

JustRight wrote: Fri Jan 29, 2021 8:56 am Hi there guys.

I also seem to have some Freeware Pack files missing.

\RailWorks\Assets\UKTS_FP\Blocks_and_Lofts\JN\Scenery\Procedural2\Dock_Wall-d.bin
\RailWorks\Assets\UKTS_FP\Housing\JT\Scenery\Buildings2\jt_fp_flats_01.bin
\RailWorks\Assets\UKTS_FP\Housing\SCM\Scenery\Buildings\FP SCM Buildings5\FP SCM Building 03.bin

I have just checked my Blocks and Lofts and also the various Buildings packs, and I have all the last versions installed.
However, there is no directory "Assets\UKTS_FP\Blocks_and_Lofts\JN\Scenery\Procedural2" or "Assets\UKTS_FP\Housing\JT\Scenery\Buildings2" or "Assets\UKTS_FP\Housing\SCM\FP SCM Buildings5"

Are there updates to the Freeware Packs not listed on the UKTS Freeware Packs page? Or are these directories with numbers appended to their names additions from elsewhere?

Can anyone shed any light on where these might be found?

Thanks.
iv never done any alterations to any of these ,have had my packs installed along time tho.

Hi Joe

I have ALMOST completed one of the most enjoyable scenarios I have EVER done in TS !! That one is "Consett Slag". Never have I had to think so much and carry out things like "tipping molten slag" out onto the tip !! Brilliant 20 mins of fun, and LOADS of fantastic screen shot opportunities. This scenario alone makes the effort in downloading all the stuff needed for your whole route to be well worth the time.

I say "ALMOST" as there seems to be a problem right at the very end of the scenario....you are instructed to drop off your empties at Siding 7, before heading back to the Siding 9 where the scenario started. But twice now, before I reach the final stopping place in Siding 7 (sometimes before my whole train has got into the siding), I suddenly get a "FAIL" warning !

Can you check out this part of the scenario please...it spoiled for me what was a brilliant atmospheric scenario !

Well done Joe

A little earlier in the scenario, do not drop off your wagons at Tip 1 - just empty them, then taken then and couple up to the wagons at Tip 2, then take the lot to Siding 7. This will work.

Hi Ash

I know there was a discussion about this exact problem, but couldnt find it. So thanks for that. Luckily I had saved the scenario just before tipping the slag so can restart it.

Cheers
