The tall red boxes indicate incorrect signal links direction.I dont know it the problems all relate to the same ground signal or not.To display these errors you need to be in the scenario editor or the route editor , then keep pressing the space bar until signal links are displayed.These ones in the pic are around the consett works area.The strange thing is when you try to move the signals links the direction arrows flip so they are pointing in the wrong direction ( look at signal links in the pic below ).This makes the tall red error box disappear but then the signal proberbly wont work correctly.Manually shift clicking the links makes them point in the correct direction but the red boxes re-appear.I remember having this issue on one of the signals on Tommos North Yorkshire Coast route but never had the issue of the links pointing in the wrong direction.Anyway i think these signals on your route are still working ok as long as the link arrows are manually changed to the correct direction.Looks to me like it could be a problem with the actual signal maybe.

when using a DMU on the Tynemouth Freeroam scenario I just spotted some more minor issues that can be easily fixed:

1.The office shed at the rail entrance to Tynemouth yard needs raising.

2. North Shields station: fenceposts on north side of line immediately west of the station are out of the ground.

3.The track linkage feathers from the junction semaphore signal CV08 at the entrance to Swan Hunter sidings need swapping over in the editor, as the wrong routes are being indicated. Also the footbridge immediately after this signal needs tweaking slightly as it interferes with the mesh fence on the north side of the tracks.
