I managed to run the Default Tyne Loop scenario in the class 101 today and spotted a couple of things that might or might not be errors. The AWS magnet at grid location lat 55.02417 long -1.43086 before the semaphore home signal TM05 on the approach to Tynemouth Platform 1 is a permanent type (always warning).Maybe its meant to be permanent for the 20mph speed limit through the station i dont know but it gave a warning when TM05 was clear. Also noticed another permanent AWS magnet at Lat 54.97021 long -1.60839 which gave what seemed to be a false warning on the approach to the bay platforms at Newcastle.
Thanks Newbouy

i put these in as a permanent warning,iv put them where there are drastic change in speed limit ie coming into stations etc,are these correct or should i change them for standard ones .

Pete 749006 should know the answer to that.I always thought the permanent AWS came before a distant speed warning sign well before the actual speed limit sign.So basically a driver doing 60mph and approaching a 20mph section would first receive a AWS warning just before a distant 20mph speed sign which would give him plenty of time to slow down for the actual 20mph section.Mind you drivers would already know the approaching speed limits because they would know the route like the back of their hand.
Thanks Newbouy

That is spot on Newbouy,
I have seen a Advance Speed Board on older routes in the game from York - Newc
York_Newc_Single_Value_Speed_Warn_Left.bin
York_Newc_Single_Value_Speed_Warn_Right.bin
York_Newc_Single_Value_Speed_Warn_Sign.bin
Those could be used with an Permanent AWS Magnet

I was looking at Percy Main North Jn on the Low Level to see what could be changed with the signalling
As you drop down off the mainline the Single Semaphore should be replaced with one that gave you two routes to either the Up Main towards Backworth or the Down Main to reverse to get towards Commission Quay
Same with the Signal coming off the Percy Main sdgs
I put this in but I can not get it to work as it should but it gives you an idea

Hi Joe,
I've come across a few more derailment blackspots whilst exploring the route:
1) Approaching Tyne Commission Quay
2) The set of appoints as you approach Tynemouth from North Shields, again doing no more than 20mph and I was derailed:

I did a run to Tyne Commission Quay but as it was a Free Roam I had to keep checking the points were set for me but no derailments
And as it was a Boat Train

I was using DT's 4MTT, my guess is the driving wheels are too small for the curvature of the track

Iv just tested the crossover at tynemouth with a dmu flat out ,can’t get it to derail, was the points set correctly mate, and where abouts in the docks you had derailment.I’ll get me 4mt out to play.

Could be my less than perfect driving haha. I was heading bunker first when I derailed, and it was on the final approach to the Commission Quay station, there's a section of track that's a bit uneven. Tried again smokebox first and I didn't come off. The points outside Tynemouth were set correctly as it happened in a scenario I've created.

Update from weekend engineering works
1)Central station speed limit alterations (bays and parcel roads reduced to 15,leaving the through lines at 30).
2)Signal reinstated for bay platform.
3)Permanent AWS altered in several places all over the route, warning markers added as discussed .
4)Percy main north jct signalling altered, banner repeaters removed and replaced with gantry with home signals and distant on previous gantry from Backworth, and reversal markers added.
5)Signal with route indicator added to high level just before riverside branch diverges.( now shows amber, etc on the approach if your going down the incline.
6)Incline on freight branch into Tyne commission quay now DT Tank friendly

.
7)Pelaw ,signal added with route indicator for freight loop.
8)Consett area, sounds altered(think i got it right),soaking pit added, building moved from obstructing line, and stopped it from snowing indoors.
9)Signal altered at Gosforth station.
10)New Quickdrive finished from Tyne yard to 6 destinations with ai traffic.(started this for the beta but didn't get it finished in time).
think thats them all from what i remember.
Going to start the scenario pack this week so i can release it with the route next week, but if you find any other niggles stick them on here and il see what i can do.
Joe
