That's arguable, though does make sense in the case of a major overhaul to a product, but the updates we've been getting for MML don't fit that description. We're looking at a small number of files here which are easily archived and managed from a provider's end of the chain.

But the answer is not to distribute updates in a way that has been seen to cause problems that have involved even more *technical* intervention by the end user to resolve. If anyone can't manage to copy and paste files, following instructions, then they frankly shouldn't be in charge of a computer.
There's nothing wrong with providing these minor tweaks to a product in .exe form for those who prefer that way, but the updates don't/shouldn't necessitate the deletion of the whole product and a fresh install--all they need to contain is the revised files to replace the older versions. The
option to manually copy and paste files can easily be added for those who have more of a "control freak" outlook.
