Nvidia Card Question

Post by bri2808 »

Recently, I have switched over from AMD to a Nvidia Graphics Card (GE Force 2060) - When I installed it all, the GE Force Experience installed also. When I scan for TS it doesnt pick it up. Is that because it is not supported (game I mean) on the GE Force Experience? I have downloaded Peter's Nvidia guide but before I tackle that wondered if I needed to do anything in the GE Force App

Any ideas please?

Ta

Hi, no, as far as I know TS is not supported by the Experience app.

Only the NVidia Control Panel can recognize the TS executable, but only the 32bit version so railworks64.exe must be added manually (of course only in case you want to make any changes in the Control Panel for it).

Neither TS2020 or TSW2020 are supported by the Geforce Experience application. I asked about TSW 2 and the question was read out on the Q&A stream and the answer is TSW 2 is not supported by Geforce Experience either.

Thanks to you both

However, I have now changed a setting on TS that has made it such that the dash is all blurred but the view ahead is clear and when I move around the cab, the dash becomes clear and the view ahead becomes blurred. Feel like I have been drinking :o

Anyone know what setting I may have tampered with? Its within TS somewhere

Start a scenarios then pause it and click on Camera Options and see what the Field of View setting is - you could try hitting the Default in that section - it might help

Thanks Peter, sorted it - It was the Camera Depth of Field. Turned that off and all went back to perfect.

As Easily Confused says GE is a dead loss in TS20XX, TSW, etc, BUT Windows 10 has a few gaming options that are almost as good as the GE app. With nVidia drivers make sure you always get the STANDARD driver and NOT the one supplied via Windows update - with the latter the NVidia Control Panel has to be installed separately from the MS store.
