Hi Richard

Strange that the cable trunking has "missing" textures around Preston - it is the same as elsewhere on the route. No one else has reported this, and I have checked that all the relevant files are in place. Could you post a screenshot to describe what you see.
The sign on the OHLE mast at the end of a run says "Electric Loco Stop", and is part of a reskinned set of signs from WCMLoverShap (WCML2). It resides in folder Scenery/Stations2, and the relevant Geo (Loco_Stop.GeoPcDx) should have been copied over from Scenery/Stations by the .bat file that you would have run. Try running it again.

regards

Here is a view just north of Preston station, showing the Electric train Stop sign and the cable trunking

And to the south of Preston station

And finally, at Acton Grange Junction, south of Warrington

I did a mini tutorial on how to post images on here (others have done it better!)

I have answered on FB, but much prefer on here. It does seem as if you have not installed all the Assets in the pack (computers aren't perfect). On the other hand, as your "missing textures" are present in other parts of the route, it does suggest that they are not actually being rendered - this can happen when the tile has a lot of assets/procedurals on it, as the GPU can only do a number by the time you arrive in that tile. You may have to alter your settings (Scenery Density for example).
You have suggested that those with V3 already installed were not having these problems. However, all the items in question (apart from the cable trunking) were not in V3 (including the Edge Hill bridge which was in its initial state in V3, and only amended in V4).

Hello, I don't know what it is, the route works as is so I guess I have to live with it, I have the following specs so grunt shouldn't be a problem.

Intel I7 9700K octacore overclocked to 5GHz
Twin MSI RTX-2070 super Graphics cards in SLI
32 GBs RAM
TS is run off a Sata SSD drive.

I checked the batch file after running when it completes and that reports all items copied. I have the requirements installed as listed and have no missing stock etc...

In theory it should be AOK, the last fixes did fix the platforms, road lofts, bridge lofts and the Edge Hill issue for me.

That is about twice as powerful as my rig! So it really is weird that you get these "missing textures", and not everywhere. Just put it down to the vagaries of the sim. As long as it doesn't spoil the immersion (too much).

cheers

Frankly, its the sort of route I always wanted to see :) so I have to take the rough with the smooth I guess, maybe a future release will fill the gaps.

Thanks for your patience though all the same :)

The latest update to the route, version 4.2 (which will be the final update for this phase) is now available from Wotawallysbits (https://www.wotawallysbits.co.uk/liv-man-br-blue-route) or BackdatedTrainSim (https://backdatedtrainsim.weebly.com/an ... outes.html

The next release will be Version 5.0, at some future date

Can anyone tell me what the improvements are in V4.2 compared with V4.1 please ?

I just want to decide whether its worth installing V4.2 or would I not notice a huge difference ?

Thanks

There were some textures missing from v.4.1 that have been added, and a couple of scenarios have been redone to ensure that they can complete even when the player has fallen behind the timetable. If you are happy with v.4.1, then no need to go to v.4.2.

I got an ai collision when I tried to play the 1M79 scenario (the VP version). I am now looking to remove the initial shunting portion and stick the 47 on the front to begin the scenario and see if that makes a difference.

EDIT: Which results in the game arbitrarily declaring a derailment right off the bat.

The scenario author will have a look at it again - which portion are you having problems with, Manchester or Liverpool (both have been tested by our team on several occasions)? Where did this collision occur? Have you changed any stock or are using the required stock?

Liverpool. The first time it occurred when I was approaching the stock, the second occurred when the 86 began to move off (and was mentioned in the message.) I did change some stock around, but none of which should have affected the player train.
