In the interest of balance you could probably have posted his other quote in exactly the same place which gave constructive feedback. You know the one with 40 odd replies where many didnt like any criticism at all.
1. His points weren’t very constructive anyway. Where's the green? 2. His second post pretty much nullified any points he may of had ( he had none anyway)
3. He comes from the Alan thomson school of fanboys. I rest my case. That group is full of tweens who like extras from Pripyat who are very shouty in nature and not very rational.

He comes from the Alan thomson school of fanboys.

I always thought Alan Thomson was head of the AP fanclub.

That group is full of tweens who like extras from Pripyat who are very shouty in nature and not very rational.

That's just what most AP fans are like.

Nice to see that we've managed to get into pejorative stereotyping within 2 pages. Perhaps we should stick to playing the ball and not the person. Yes, some people are extremely enthusiastic and show a significant level of callowness in the process (and not all of them are on ATS or Facebook). However, this constant attacking of people rather than sticking to the issue is unattractive and only serves to make this forum an unpleasant place to be. Perhaps we could all take a leaf out of the NZ Prime Minister's book and be kind.
By all means express an opnion, but back it up with fact.

Well said, there is too much of this going on nowadays, although I would say this forum is a lot more friendly than it used to be. In the early days of RS and RW I recall it being an almost daily occurrence and more friendly than some other forums I use, it certainly isn't just train simulator forums.

Why people can't accept than some people like some products and others don't is beyond me.

Personally my view is that DTG products are like a tasty, rich, fruity Christmas cake and AP add the icing (and marzipan) on top to finish it off.

Having driven the AP 158 yesterday on the North Wales coast with his weather enhancement pack providing various levels of fog, with the windows open, hearing the wind and run sounds from the bogies it was an extremely immersive experience.

I suspect that AP has more time to add details as he probably isn't working to such a tight deadline as DTG, I presume he is a one man band. Certainly DTG products have come on massively since the early days and if AP didn't exist I would still get lots of enjoyment out of the sim but AP, and SSS for the steam enthusiasts add that bit extra and I don't think that is a bad combination to be honest.

Because what would these people do if not spending hours, days and sometimes weeks creating pointless arguments and moral high grounds on forums? :D God forbid they might actually play the sim itself....

Ah okay, thanks, that is a fascinating article. Would that class 47 recording have been for the class 47 sound pack pro, I wonder, I do have it but can't remember when it dates from?

I thought he/they had recorded some Sulzer type 2 sounds once but I don't think they ever saw the light of day.

I believe there was a Type 2 sound pack but it was withdrawn from sale before I saw it.

Now DTG has released the 24, 25 and 27 locos it might be worth AP looking at it again.

I noticed Mark Thompson had released files to allow the AP Class 33 sounds to be used with the DTG Class 24 & 25

More than likely because it is always the same Attitude from AP fanboys as soon as AP announce anything new it is always the best thing since sliced bread. Look how many years we have had the old class 377 soundpack. Didn’t see people complaining about that or the dtg model. Now because AP have announced a class 377 “enhancement pack” suddenly the OLD 377 sound is no good was inaccurate and the dtg model bad. Bit of a coincidence why after so many years none of them complained about the old pack but within a few days it’s not good enough.

And the attitude from people slating anyone giving feedback is appalling. Someone mentioned the sounds sounded off. A fanboy reply’s “go and get your ears checked” that is how shocking this community has came when it comes to 3rd party fanboys.

I actually feel for AP at times the trouble is not him but the little army of “supporters” who go around insulting anyone who dare criticise anything he does.

Perhaps these fanboys should take a leaf out there own book in these comments when it comes to THEM critical of dtg work on social media comments like “no one is forcing you to buy it” “if you don’t like it don’t comment”

Off topic, but nice to hear from you, I didn't realise you still visit these forums! Always a small relief to hear from an old name.
