Interesting problem or issue. I have never come upon any real Traction that only allows a 2 second Driver response time to cancel AWS/TPWS. Hovering a Finger over the AWS Button would be considered as bad driving practice as it is possible to fall foul of repetitive cancelling. The standard for AWS is 2 to 3 seconds minimum AFTER the AWS has sounded to cancel. Maybe extending in the sim would be better?

My understanding is that the default time you get in the sim to cancel the AWS is 4 seconds from the time the alarm is triggered - which is actually longer than it sounds! (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi etc.!) Some of the AP packs introduce a delay in the sounding of the audio alarm (but not the visual "sunflower" alert) of approx. 1 second, which still leaves 3 seconds to cancel the alert.
