Norddeutsch bahn oddities

Post by chrisreb »

Purchased this route in the sale and trying first career scenario.

Pull out of station past a green signal. Little further down the track get emergency braking and points deducted when there are no signals in vicinity. The twice get penalised for speeding in a clear section of track when I am miles inside speed limit.

Is this route seriously bugged?

Gave up with that scenario, speed limits all over the place - changing every 50 mt or so - undriveable

Tried another scenario, stopped at Preetz , nowhere on platform can I get the red bar to get the stop registered. If no community patch then I think this is a return for a refund

Frankly - I bought it before Christmas as I liked the countryside, but had to return it due to these errors and the lack of superelevation. Perhaps will give it another chance in a sale, but it must be at least 50% down. There was a community patch forming back in December, not sure what's the status now.

The signalisation on that route is utterly broken i’m afraid. On the northbound quickdrive you have to tab to pass red at least 4 times. That is in a scenario without any AI traffic whatsoever.

There is a community upgrade that fixes all broken signals.

What baffles me is how DTG never ever fixes broken signalisation on German routes, when clearly it is possible to make it free of errors.

Does anyone have the link to the community patch as I cannot get a refund? Thanks

On the subject of recent German routes from DTG, Nurnberg-Regensburg has received little comment but is rather a nice route. Quite short but the scenery seems nicely done; not just a blast between the two but it has a variety of curves and gradients with possibilities for a range of services. There are two updates available to eliminate the more egregious errors that always come from DTG. A caveat is that you will need a lot of stock to be able to run the scenarios for the updated route.

Yes, Nurnberg - Regensburg is a nice route and I see that the route patch for it has been updated since the last time I posted about it, as has the Basel-Freiburg patch.

Although I am registered I could download without logging in. You just need to accept the terms and conditions on the page you are first sent to. I am using Chrome.

Why would you submit a ticket to DTG? It is a community patch. If you follow Robins link https://railomanie.eu/filebase/index.ph ... ck-deluxe/ once you have agreed to the terms and conditions you will be taken to the download page. If you are not seeing that then I would suggest trying another browser because there have been 3.2k downloads.

I submitted a ticket re the route to DTG as it is a DTG product not a community one. Following the link I can now see a signal fix file which looks like what I am looking for . Thanks

I am guessing the deluxe reference is to a more extensive route makeover

You should see an option to download the deluxe update as one file above the picture or as separate elements including the signal fix lower down the page. Baum fix is the vegetation fix for instance.

Doing it now so will try it out again sometime this week. Would be great if this salvages this DTG abortion.
