Hi
Coming back to this and having issues. For a cold start have followed all the steps in the manual. However Brakes stay on 32% and it wont throttle up. DRA is Off , brake leaver in release, Regulator in Forward and brake pipe pressure ok. Cannot see any other button to press from manual - anyone got any ideas that I might have missed? many thanks

Re: AP Class 156
Saw a post on a Facebook group yesterday as well. Someone having the exact same problem as you with the class 158 pack from AP. Wonder if it’s something in the coding that has an effect on a few of the dmus.

Re: AP Class 156
I don't have the AP version but I have been caught out a few times with start ups
I presume you put the key in with Shift+W instead of just moving they key
Confused by "brake pipe pressure ok" what is it reading?
What is the Main Air Res showing? - you will not get the brakes off until at least 4.5 BAR but 6 BAR is better

Will re check the brake pressure but this is a real pain. If needed then I might just uninstall the pack

I was confused by "Brake Pipe Pressure" - something modern DMUs do not have as they use a 3 step westcode braking system

Re: AP Class 156
They are referring to the gauge figure - was confusing because so many brake pressure readings!

Re: AP Class 156
Be carefull with that one. The 3 Step Westcode still takes an Air feed from the Main Res system which is reduced and fed into each Brake Cylinder. All dependant on the Electrical Code sent from the Drivers Brake Handle to the Control Unit. Thus you still have a Brake Cylinder reading.I was confused by "Brake Pipe Pressure" - something modern DMUs do not have as they use a 3 step westcode braking system

All trains with a 3 step brake show a Brake Cylinder Reading because there is no Brake Pipe.yyyyamst wrote:Be carefull with that one. There is only a Duplex Gauge - one side is Main Res and that is fairly constant - the other is the Brake Cylinder Pressure showing between 0 and 4.5 bar depending on the train.
Slightly related is my profile picture as I was driving a 156 at the time
