Ok, so PC rebuild and Win 10 install has worked out ok, but as advised by a number of you ^^, the GPU is now very much the weakest link...

... especially with DCS World back in action.

Thinking about how much £££ and what on / what for.

Does TS utilise any VR kit? It would primarily be DCS that tempted me towards VR as it was always a no brainer tech for flight sims - but I’d only spend extra if it was multi-platform

Neither TS or TSW uses any VR kit AFAIK

I have a G-Sync 27 inch monitor and a GTX1060 with very acceptable performance at 1440, especially after Pete's guidance.

... something like a GTX1660 or RTX2060 series card?

(Although cost vs job security seems like a consideration)

Yes indeed, our place has furloughed us now so no treats or luxuries for who knows how long? Maybe worth considering FleaBay for a second hand one?
