That seems to work, thanks!

On the subject of the Ivatt 4MT I've just done another scenario with it where I was really struggling for boiler pressure, until I realised that it had started with the dampers closed. So I might be stating the obvious but check that.

Personally, I've not had any issues with the Ivatt 4 after doing the tutorial. To get it to steam well I just make sure the dampers are fully open (hold the M key for 5 seconds should do it), as they are off at the start of a scenario. Making sure the brakes are in running (about 40-45%) also helps. Also at the start of a scenario, it takes a couple of minutes for the loco to warm up once you get moving so be gentle on the regulator initially. The ideal fire mass is 850lbs and I use manual firing. Once it's warmed up with the dampers fully open I find it steams pretty well and it can be difficult to stop it blowing off when coasting as the injectors fill the boiler up very quickly!

Has anyone else noticed in the scenario editor, with no other stock enabled, one gets 'Cauliflower' and 'Cauliflower Tender' in the list? The tender works but the loco doesn't. I know a cauliflower isn't listed amongst the included stock, so can anyone explain this and how one might get it to work as it'd be ideal for the LNWR bits of the route.

I made the model for the CKPR route and we considered using it in the Stainmore route at Penrith, but as the model is 8 years old it was decided it was not up to current standards, so wasn't included.
Apologies for the residual tender that was not removed from the route files.

I wanted to add my thanks to all concerned for the Stainmore Route. It really is a tour de force in terms of pushing TS to a higher level and as a remarkable simulation of the route (within limits of the game). I know it has taken quite some time to appear but every second of the wait was worthwhile. Additionally, it comes ready to to run with a wealth of rolling stock and a useful stud of locos.
I think the addition of the section of the WCML including Shap and Tebay was sensible as it not only incorporates links to the Stainmore route but provides a second challenging and historically interesting route in its own right; well section of route.
Everything is beautifully and thoughtfully done enhanced by the use AP Weather and the VP grass and tree packs. There are so many bespoke scenic features including station buildings, signalling, bridges as well as numerous smaller items like those grey wooden comms boxes with sloping roofs (that I had completely forgotten about), slick work with the telegraph posts and wires, some new cattle breeds and some typically blackface sheep. Watchout for the occasional AI blue tractor in the field. It all adds to the authenticity.
The scenarios, I have tried, all load without anything missing. The quickdrives have a a good selection of AI traffic which takes away that feeling you are driving on Christmas Day.
The Ivatt Mogul actually does drive enjoyably well. It took me a while to get the feel for the sweet spots and you need to be vigilant of boiler pressure and water level and the loco seems to respond to little and often. The dampers appear to open on a scale of something like 1-5 using [M]. At first, I just hit [M] once which only opened them a bit. If you listen there is a satisfying clunk when fully open/closed is reached.
Congratulations to all involved I bet you are really proud of what you have achieved.
Bob
Oh, it is exceptional value for money, too!

Purely out of interest, is there any chance of it being made available as freeware, or low-cost payware? We're decidedly lacking in LNWR locos currently so it'd fill a useful gap.

Hi,
just a suggestion, if you want the locomotive, just download the assets folder from the CKPR ROUTE, you want file ID:27640/1

You sure, Mike - I've just searched through my downloaded copies of these two files and I can't find the LNWR Cauliflower.

Anyone know what Performance mode is?
Every scenario has a popup telling me its off.
Nothing in the manual about it.

Performance mode is provided for those with lower spec computers to get better frame rates. A number of locos have this option and it turns off certain effects such as the firebox glow for example.

Could I ask how you would enable Performance Mode.

Just had a quick look and it only seems to be applicable to the Holden E4.
The command to turn on and off is Shift P

Hopefully the driver has his eyes tested BEFORE he gets in the cab.
