I can't see a way of having a switchable option for the Fowler 4F, the manual is mis-leading us!

I guess the option to use simple mode for that loco is to change the Train Control settings under Gameplay within TS to simple controls? I only use advanced mode myself so haven't tested this.

It wouldn't be the first to do that!

It's odd though that the SSS wouldn't 4F doesn't support switching when the default DTG one does---the whole idea of producing *enhanced* versions of rolling stock is to add features, not remove.

Easier to produce a new .bin file for the loco based upon the DTG loco, just pointing to the SSS .GeoPcDx

Whilst that loco is bundled with Netherfield, it isn't part of the route itself; it's a copy of the RSC Fowler 4F Add On -- https://store.steampowered.com/app/2407 ... oco_AddOn/

I'd be inclined to believe that the Academy loco is also just a repathed, retextured copy of that too so any issues with the Academy loco would also be *built in* to the stand alone loco as alluded to here:

I just tried it again now, in a quick drive and it still runs out of water after only a few miles.

So there is no point in me swapping the SSS one for this one.

Away from the PC at the mo...

Can anyone recall if the Stainmore route includes a snowplough amongst the rolling stock assets???

Photos on SSS suggest not, but I do remember one being shown during the development blog

Just a point to bear in mind ...If you are considering getting the free ATS Scenario Pack...

If like me, the only Assets you are missing to run the 20 scenarios in this pack are the SSS J21 and WD 2-8-0, it will still cost you £27.00 for those items ! Unless of course you were smart enough to have got them in the SSS sale a while ago ?
Otherwise you will have to do a lot of swapping of assets in RW Tools !

That's the "price" you pay for free scenario packs - the author gets to choose which stock to use!

HI

During lockdown I have just returned to Train Simulator after a very long absence so regard myself as a beginner now. I purchased this route as it looked very interesting and after a slight problem running the setup programs due to the Rapport program (SSS advice) I have run several scenarios within this route. I have a slight problem in that the Tees viaduct is not showing (just the track over it) and also a few overbridges when I run the scenarios. I have reloaded all the setup files again but still the same result (do I need to delete original files in railworks folder ? and if so how do I find them all ?). All the other main bridges/ viaducts are showing.
I have used TStools for the first time so not sure if I am doing right but I did a "Check Route" and there were no missing files and I could see an asset Tees Viaduct.bin by Eyore.

Any help would be appreciated

Neville

Hi Neville,

Try going into settings and increasing your scenery density. The items are probably there but just not showing.

Welcome back.

I've played, and really enjoyed, a few of these scenarios and just wanted to add a comment in case anyone was put off this scenario pack pack due to the requirements.

If you don't have the RSC Duchess of Sutherland, Victory Works J21 and WD 2-8-0 and Digital Traction BR 2MT 2-6-0 (the four payware requirements), you can still play 11 of the 20 scenarios in this pack.
And they are super.

And you can play every scenario in the pack by swapping what you don't have with something you do
