Having spent a mort of time (i) experiencing some of these 'OOM' crashes, (ii) reading of others' similar woes, (iii) reacting to the aforesaid and (iv) adding my three penn'orth to the debate, I eventually did what should have done in the first place, which was (v) to buy an hour of my local IT guru's experience and expertise to retune my particular combination of hardware, firmware and software (which the aforesaid guru built and maintains) to best cope with the arcane interactions between Windows_10 and TS_20.

Cost me £40.00. Worked. Worth every penny. Do I understand exactly what he did? Nope. Does it matter? Nope. Happy bunny? Yup!
