Thank you for the link to the Great Western BR Blue era route on the workshop.
I can well recommend downloading the route, just a pity there isn't a few more scenarios with it

Re: 2020 Wishlist
I would like to see the Midland and Great Northern route from Bourne to Kings Lynn, it was the largest of all the joint Railways in the UK, it had a mixture of locomotives some ex LMS and Some Ex LNER plus some BR Standards, again coaching stock was a mixture of Gresley and Stanier.
It was always busy during the summer with holiday traffic to and from the Midlands

Re: 2020 Wishlist
Yes, these would be good. Didn't they make the Newcastle - Carlisle for TSW not too long ago? AFAIK there is/was a "Chunnel" route in development too, but dunno the status of it?GrateEastern wrote: Routes not in game:

Re: 2020 Wishlist
In addition to Nick's you will find a few in my Workshop Library - https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/765 ... shopfiles/michaelhendle wrote:Andy

The above link takes you to everything that I ever published on the Workshop but I think that you can search, I stopped publishing there a long time ago once I got into route creation. Don't be confused by the name on the page - my Son and I share the Steam account, his name is the one on the account as I only use it for TS.

Re: 2020 Wishlist
After discussions between the co-authors of the route, we have decided to reissue it on Colin's site - Wotawallysbits. It will be in its original form, warts and all. With the limitation on the Assets allowable on the Workshop, and starting with the base Kuju route, it doesn't have the same atmosphere as the present routes that we are creating. At the last count, I have identified 36 scenarios that we created, so that should answer your question!michaelhendle wrote:Andy

Many thanks for your reply, sounds like it's going to be another good BR era route

Not this old chestnut again, Its good having wish lists, I would love lots of BR blue stock, early AC electrics, 1st generation DMU and EMU`s, but lets face it if there were going to be made, they would have by now, must not be enough money to be made making them.

Re: 2020 Wishlist
I disagree. Having now optimised TS to 64 bit and with a growing community, it would be daft of DTG to close up shop on the game. There were around 80 releases this year via DTG and Steam, though around 70% are US or Swiss. It suggests the game still has potential, especially while TSW doesn't provide a network and modding opportunities yet. Hopefully DTG will excite and inspire those of us who want modern UK traction and routes in 2020.david1 wrote:Not this old chestnut again, Its good having wish lists, I would love lots of BR blue stock, early AC electrics, 1st generation DMU and EMU`s, but lets face it if there were going to be made, they would have by now, must not be enough money to be made making them.

Would that also stretch to inspiring those wanting a more *niche* sector developing further into doing something themselves?GrateEastern wrote:Hopefully DTG will excite and inspire those of us who want modern UK traction and routes in 2020.
Re: 2020 Wishlist
Yes, I’ve also got to disagree...
At one level it’s just some wishful thinking amongst a user group, but on another level it does help focus on what is available and some of the glaring remaining gaps
I’d completely overlooked the LMS Princess Royals, until posted above ^^ - surely a significant hole in the current steam line up? (Who grew up in the 60s or 70s and hadn’t been engrossed by an under scale BR green model Princess Elizabeth?)
GWR / WR fans are well served, but the numerous and widely spread 2800 / 2884 remains “in the works” rather than in traffic on our digital rails...
Regarding the UK steam era, there are now numerous fantastic quality locos and stock available - from DTG / Steam and from smaller specialists. HOWEVER, in terms of DTG routes, there is still a massive limitation in where to run them - Riviera 50s, WLOS, Weardale, Woodhead...? Let’s have a brilliant, full scale, full speed Mainline route for each region...
Oh, and some properly grimy BR blue freight routes.... stick a few backdated branches onto South Wales Coastal
