Fresh Installation

I plan to buy a new computer soon and was wondering about re-installing Train Simulator.
It seems a daunting task when I consider all the add-ons I have and wondered, is it best to just bite the bullet and individually re-install everything or would it be OK to copy some of my present installation to add into a fresh installation?
All those hard to find requirements for routes makes me wonder what might be the best way to go. I have kept a copy of everything that I have added so I wouldn't have to hunt them down it's more a matter of whether I would still be sane at the end of it if everything was added individually.

Thanks,

Paul

Just install Steam on the new PC, which will also install TS.
Then just copy and paste yoour existing Assets and Contents folder into the new installation, overwriting any existing files

That's it....no need to instaĺl anything again or hunt for stuff.

Thanks Gary. I was hoping that would be ok to do.

Even better than letting your *proper* assets and routes overwrite the default versions would be to create a new folder somewhere safe called "Default TS Assets and Routes" (or whatever makes sense to you), cutting and pasting the default Assets and Contents folders into that and then finally copying and pasting your full versions into the game. That way you retain an 'untouched' copy of stuff just in case it's needed later.

Sounds like a plan. Cheers, I'll do that.
