I was just about to go and ask John about it, so thanks Gary!

Correct. I don't understand why the hotlink doesn't work anymore, but for those who like to know: they were white with a black chevron, just like the later yellow distands.gptech wrote:Ta Gaëtan, the rear of the arm needs no further work then...I like it when it gets easy!

Bandwidth...and the cost of it. Many sites get a steady trickle of funds from sponsors to help pay for their upkeep--if we link directly to images we're not visiting the site so they lose out.locomotiveman1994 wrote:I don't understand why the hotlink doesn't work anymore
It would be fairly simple to download the image and put it on another hosting site, but that's a bit sneaky and can't be condoned. However, there's nothing preventing me from showing the back of the signal in TS.....

Anyway there is still the question about the height of the signal to be answered...
I'm looking at you, sem34090

Re: Red GWR Distant Signal
John's signals consist of separate posts and arms, so the arm can be set at any height on a given post.

So I thought....DO 'EM ALL!!locomotiveman1994 wrote:Anyway there is still the question about the height of the signal to be answered...

All signals are modular, not just John's, so adding or moving components is relatively easy via the matrix sections for the child objects in the .bin file.sem34090 wrote:John's signals consist of separate posts and arms
The files for the red distants are at https://ln.sync.com/dl/65149f120/aca5tn ... p-6uef9mjp, just extract the contents of the .zip archive into your Assets directory.
The signals appear in the available assets listing as:
GWR Distant (Red) 20ft Post
GWR Distant (Red) 25ft Post
GWR Distant (Red) 30ft Post
GWR Distant (Red) 35ft Post
GWR Distant (Red) 40ft Post
GWR Fixed Distant (Red) 20ft Post
through to 40ft as above.
There's also a
GWR 5ft Dist Arm Red
entry for just the arm, and a bracket for the lamps on the fixed distants (scaled in the signal's .bin files to be an appropriate size) which is listed as
SWW_LampBracket
If you want the arms on any other posts, in combination with others etc just shout.

Re: Red GWR Distant Signal
I've revised the distants a wee bit, adding the lamp bracket to those too....
The revised .bin files are at https://ln.sync.com/dl/3451cecf0/ndd3fi ... x-mxhsqpjf
Just extract the 5 .bin files in the .zip archive into your
..\Assets\Yelland\Addon\RailNetwork\Signals\UK Semaphore\GWR_Posts folder.
This is a purely cosmetic revision, nothing relating to the functioning of the signals has changed.

Many thanks from me too; it's not often I get something new for Rail Simulator these days (yes I do mean Rail Simulator!)... Just right for my old time light railway routes.
