I have purchased said loco, and I'm now in heaven.
The cab is great (twin wipers) :)
The views are great.
The sounds are great.
And the auto throttle is magnificent. :D
I can’t understand why more locos (in real life) are not fitted with it, even controlled from the leaky wire in the track.
More More.

Now I'm very tempted. I just wish the Bernina Pass d.c. route had gone on to Tirano with the consequent street running instead of stopping short at Poschiavo. Does it run ok on the old Albula freeware route which does go all the way ? The Allegra does. :)

I don't have the freeware route i'm afraid, in truth I didnt know there was one, I agrre it would be nice to drive thruogh the streets, maybe that will be the next extension, (I have the combined route from the workshop) Its the only overseas route I drive often.

So,, I cant answer your question but I cant see a reason why not.

Loving sitting as a passenger enjoying the views !!

Yes it operates just fine on the freeware Albula route! The only downside is that you have to drive the freeware route 5km/h slower than the posted speed limit in order to prevent your train from toppling over. Since the freeware route is so old, it was designed without any superelevated curves. Also, the freeware version does not have the randomized "stop request" tone that that the payware Thomson version has.

But beyond that, yes, it's a lot of fun to run the Thomson route between St. Moritz and Poschiavo, then switch to the freeware route and run from Poschiavo through to Tirano.

Good advice ! Transfer to the freeware at Poschiavo :D . Also thanks for the info on the speed limits.

For anyone who wants to try the freeware route: https://rail-sim.de/forum/wsif/index.ph ... hn-v-2-0b/

Not up to Thomson payware route standards of course, but still enjoyable and it does cover from Rothenbrunnen-Thusis-Filsur-St Moritz-Poschiavo-Tirano. Quite a run, but the d.c. only ABBe4/4iii can only realistically be used on the Bernina Railway (i.e. St-Moritz -Tirano).

Yes John, I think it is . They are both V 2b ( 2.0b). There was an earlier version, but that had standard gauge tracks I think.

I had forgotten that it was also on UKTS listed under "Railworks". Still seems to run ok on TS2019.

Having purchased this and run it a bit, I must say that I agree with everything above. :D This is a great loco. The default scenarios are a bit sketchy, but I can highly recommend this Workshop Scenario if you have the extra requirements."R 4613 St. Moritz - Tirano".
