One of the problems with the loco is the use of the AZERTY Keyboard

You can use Google to translate - this is page 6

EXPERT MODE
Command Note
Starting up the locomotive
Lever key, power on battery
"W" key The table of witnesses lights up.
Fit the rear pantograph
"P" key Required, otherwise the controller is blocked.
The line voltage appears on the voltmeter-line.
Fit the front pantograph
(BB7200 only)
"Maj + p" key Mandatory, otherwise the controller is blocked.
The line voltage appears on the voltmeter-line.
At least one of the two pantographs must be lifted.
Close Circuit Breaker "Shift + O" Button The panel indicators go out except Circuit Breaker and Traction Interlock.
Lock the circuit breaker "o" button Switching off the circuit breaker lock indicator.
Activate the brake key "," button The brakes remain locked if the key is not turned. See below,
paragraph "Operation of the brakes".
Compressors and fans No action: automatic.
Put the inverter on «front» button «z»
VACMA test "k" key See below the paragraph
"Operation of VACMA"
VACMA deactivation "maj + k" key
KVB: arming Key "j"
KVB: Parameterization Key "b" See below paragraph KVB

Complicated :o

A very kind offer - I was only after the driving instructions as I think the bits above are the start up bit. However file too big to upload as it is a PDF

That would be the vacma (if you haven't turned it of). It's the french driver vigilance device.
