Hopefully they've put one in. Would help scenario creation enormously.
It would seem that it hasn't been used since 2012 http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index. ... -quarries/, though I do not know when the actual connection was severed.
It will, of course, feature in the BR Blue version!
The track and sidings didn't look very neglected when I drove past the site last week so maybe it's still in use as and when required?

I think they cleared up recently so road vehicles could get in but there's still no working set of points between the main line and the sidings entrance.

It's hard to tell conclusively from Google Earth images, but the trackwork appears to be extant but there seem to be either stopblocks or the old expedient of a couple of sleepers across the rails just to the east of the main line connection (date of the images is 2016).

Same here. Had the pleasure of visiting Holyhead for the first time last December (at night) and was deeply impressed - hope the version in the sim will look good too!

Last time I visited Holyhead, I had taken the first Stena ferry of the day from Dublin (you have to be up at about 5:30 to make it).
Never again.

What I saw of Holyhead in the morning was a real mix, around the port and station it's nice but the rest looks sad and underinvested.

Which reminds me, I wonder how DTG have done the former Anglesey Aluminium plant.
Whether they've done it as it was when a plant was there (pre-2016/17) or as it is now while part way through redevelopment and all that's there is a few sheds.

Visited was probably the wrong word, it was definitely more like passed through. :P

I'm lucky(?) having visited Holyhead/Anglesey for more than 'train geek' reasons...it's actually a very fascinating place on many levels--often cold. wet and windy but well worth a visit. On a good day (they do occur, honest) you can see Ireland and the southern tip of the Isle of Man (also worth a visit---go in the TT season for the best nights out you'll ever have) Even if the weather's against you you'd have a good time on Anglesey!

Only made it as far as Bangor for a weekend of the Welsh Highland railway plus the Ffestiniog and making our way home from Porthmadog back to Wolves. That was a nice round trip. :)
