Hi John.

I had the same problem and sorted it by doing exactly the same as you.

I managed to find the HST in the editor and it looked okay and connected.

I tried moving everything forward about a foot or so, one unit at a time.

I found that when some units were snugged up to the next unit there was a "clank" and then a "clunk" as I let go of the mouse button. For some units there was no clank, just a clunk.

However, after my first effort the second and third error messages didn't appear again, just the broken consist one. So I tried again and it now runs.

Interesting that consists are broken on one machine but not on another. (I haven't modified anything from the download.)

Michael, for me the HST pulled into the next platform at Newton Abbot and left just as I arrived. The signal had cleared by the time I was ready to depart. As you say, the vagaries of TS.

Thanks again.

John.
This sounds as if you had swapped IN the HST for something slightly SMALLER in length. Hence the OVERLAP

Thank You to the team at Vulcan Productions for the Class 73 pack :)

You have made the very good MKS Class 73 even better by the addition of all these liveries and saves me having a bodge job to get a plain blue loco :)

I am also getting the missing ribbons error for 1A43, I am confused at this, as Exeter Platform 5 is used in another scenario and it works fine, I have tried changing the path to use platform 6 instead, but still get the missing ribbon error, now I have deleted the marker and put it back in but still the error is there, anybody know what causes this error in the first place.

VP have announced that a 1985 quickdrive by DPS has been released for the Devon route. https://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/quickdrive.html

It would seem to be a misplaced consist David----try the fix suggested on the preceding page and give the offending consist a 'jiggle' to get it back on the track.

Has anyone tried the Quick Drives available from DPSimulation?

No matter what combination I choose of player consist, starting point and ending point, TS2019 crashes with an Access Violation message.

Same for me, John, I'm afraid :( I've posted about it on the VP Facebook page to see if I can get any insight there.

DPS and VP have since posted about a fix, the 6MT coaches were still causing the crash. I've installed the fix as per their instructions and it works for me.

I have also been struggling with the Blue coaches.

Haven't tried the Quick Drives yet but on one of the scenarios included with the route (The Devonshire Dart Part 1) RW Tools flags up these coaches as missing. I have just stripped out of the Railvehicles folder in the RSC\6MTPack01 pack all files except the ap file as suggested and re-downloaded and reinstalled the reskin with Package Manager and run the batch file - no patch apparently required now. However RW Tools is suggesting that these coaches should be in the path:

'\TS2019\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\RSC\6MTPack01\RailVehicles\PassengerBlue\'

On my TS installation this path does not exist - I have folders called '\TS2019\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\RSC\6MTPack01\RailVehicles\Passenger2\' and
'\TS2019\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\RSC\6MTPack01\RailVehicles\Passenger3\' - but no 'PassengerBlue'

Any thoughts anyone? - I assume it is the correct reskin I am downloading from the DP web site, by Richard Fletcher, which is described there as:

'Mk1 6MT Clan Coaching Stock 'BR Blue Grey' Pack'

I may be a bit pedantic but The VP manual for the Devon Route lists under its requirements 'BR 6MT Clan Class from Steam and 'RF6MT BR Blue Repaint Pack + Patch from DP Simulation.' - not Blue Grey?

This is the only reskin it would seem for these coaches on DPS web site. Always a bit of detective work to do to get things working!

From what little I have seen so far the route itself is looking superb.

Thanks for any advice.

Regards

I should have course have said that I had removed all files except the ap from the 6MTPack01 folder and not the Railvehicles folder.

I've just looked at the files from the DPS site and looked at the folders, none are PassengerBlue. I've also got an older download of it from last year and it wasn't there then either. I'm wondering if the scenarios bundled with the route are actually calling for the Mk1 megapack that they host instead of the one from DPS, these do have a PassengerBlue folder. https://www.vulcanproductions.co.uk/rol ... loads.html

The Quick Drives certainly require the Blue Grey ones from DPS though and they are working fine now, thoroughly enjoyable.

On page 2 of this thread Ash does state that they moved over to the Megapack coaches for the scenarios. The QD scenarios recently released aren't by VP but DPS so it's reasonable to assume that they use the stock available at DP---as Skyline has pointed out, the Blue/Grey reskins.
So...problems with missing coaches in VP scenarios call for a visit to VP to acquire those missing coaches.
