The links can be moved...….
Do you have a DTG route you're happy with Peter?...a serious question, not one designed to trip you up or anything.
I have a lot of routes I'm happy with. And I did change that link but I'm unable to fix the errors outside Piccadilly
It's a Train Driving Game - so the part you expect to work are the ways you can or cannot drive along the tracks and the Signals to Control the trains.
When they get these two Basic parts wrong it spoils the route.
You get a Freeware route and you find the Author has used assets from other lines whilst not being correct are perfectly acceptable.
They also go to the trouble of making sure the Track is right, Directionality, Speed, Electrification and they also check the Signals are correct, with the right links and indications.
The North Wales Coast BR Blue is a good example of the time and care that has been put in to making a Freeware route.
But DTG just made a hash of the BR Blue Woodhead line.
Errors in Track Directionality, Electrification, Signalling and Track Layout.
So where it had all the correct looking buildings and Signalboxes and Reddish Depot etc it falls down on just the Basic parts.
I would love to run a Scenario where you arrive in Platform 2 at Piccadilly as another train departs from Platform 1 and at the same time AC Electrics run on the Fast and Slow lines in and out of the Station.
Cannot do that - It might look nice - if you don't know the area. I worked at Piccadilly for 18 years and I know what it should look like.
