I agree with the sentiment of this post, but a couple of points:

Scottish ECML is a very old route now. However, when it first came out, it was one of the best routes around. It's still an enjoyable route.

Edinburgh to Newcastle is unstable due to the route length, but it is a decent representation of the route IMO.

Yes, SECML is very old, before superelevation was invented, so you have to take that into account, plus despite the dodgy track and route instability, I do enjoy driving the Edinburgh to Newcastle ECML. However the there is no excuse for the Chiltern Mainline - a lack of superelevation and old assets on a modern release got me quite upset and questioned my trust in Just Trains. I'm hoping their next release will put my doubts to rest.

I for one love Western Mainlines and am looking forward to the Penzance Section. Likewise I am a great fan of the Chiltern Line.
I do confess to altering the vegetation a bit using those great files from our EU friend. When I'm stoking the fire don't have much time to look around !!
Everyones taste is different and while I confess I cannot fathom why such horrid vegetation is used by a number of publishers, I can modify it if I want.
Maybe the base line price of £24 + - has to go up for the extra work/quality, but who would pay more these days, only yesterday 34 euros was bulked at by some here for a supurb route,, apperently.
