It appears to be the latest iteration of sbhh/dump file. At least neither of those caused ones pc to freeze up.

I too have this and have had the missing files issues as well.
I have found that this seems to be caused by using the editors and that once its happened the route (and all scenarios in it won't edit or run properly)
I have (partly?) cured this by
a) reinstalling Visual C + + from the install folder in the game
b) reinstalling version 62.8b from backup
c) re-updating to 2019
d) reinstalling the route I was on from Backup.
This appears to have helped - I managed to do a few edits in scenario editor and route editor but saved AND closed each editor before switching to the other.
Have submitted ticket to add to pile at DTG.

Yes I get this error and crash every time I exit a scenario, but only for last couple of days. Will see if any routes do not do this - very odd

On the whole i am loving 64bit so far, i have deliberately tried to run scenario's that just flatley refused to load under 32bit, and all ran perfectly, even after whacking my graphic settings up to the max!! Granted, i very recently upgraded to a new motherboard, i7 processor and 16gb of DDR5 and i'm so glad that i have! (the wife wasn't too impressed when she saw the receipts though!)

That said, earlier on whilst running a GEML scenario, between Liverpool Street and Stratford i tried to change from the cabview to the rear of the train view (view 3), and immediatley got the 'Access Violation', contact DTG etc, etc and crash straight to desktop. It's the only one that i have had so far. Not got a scooby what caused it!

Never show the wife the real receipts... 8)

Ash
you show your missus receipts of any kind that are related to one of your hobbies? You are a braver man than I am that's for sure

To Ashgray (and any other route builder).

I also thought I'd been able to edit under 64-bit without seeing the double slip issue mentioned by some. Did a couple of days' worth of edits. Then saw my first random double slip error - and found another post warning that signals randomly lost their markers (and become useless), So I went back, checked the route and found that I had both double slip errors and multiple broken signals - none of them near the places where I had edited. I reverted to pre 2019 backup and now use the 32-bit editor for all track editing. I would strongly advise any route builder to do likewise.

Cheers

I have resisted the temptation to go online and get the upgrade to 64 bit, and when I do it will go to my "vanilla" version, not the working one. I am working on at least 6 routes, and cannot afford to have any of them go awry. A few years back, I used the gradient tool to adjust the level of a piece of track, and it was only a couple of weeks later that I found that I had lost about 6 miles of a down track (it had disappeared underground) a few miles further on. I just wonder what the route builders at DTG are finding (they are working on other routes, aren't they?).
The problems are not just with the track. Andy made some scenery adjustments in 64bit, and when he sent them to me, I had some weird effects - such as a piece of canal well away from where it should be, and several metres in the air. He has now returned to 32bit to edit.

One can only hope that all these problems are sorted out soon - 64bit looks great, but I am patient

cheers

Tonight I had two "access violations" each time I tried to add an FP Brake Van to a short goods train. Also three "crash system errors" that froze my screen when painting some grass. The suggested remedy was to download Steam as this may fix the error? That's me for the night. I don't need this ..

Regards, John.

Wonder if anyone can try this out, I have no idea if it is the culprit but the same scenario was run without an access violation? I have some anomalous behaviour whereby TS would collapse to the desktop whilst running any scenario? I ran windows focus only to discover that "shell experience host" was causing this behaviour, after eventually stopping the service in task manager it doesn't happen, is it just coincidence that there was no access violation error after stopping this service?

Smarty
It has been known to use high cpu and RAM resources (that would cause a crash in TS2019). It shouldn't, and on my rigs it accesses less than 100MB RAM and 0% cpu.
Might be worth reading this: https://windowsreport.com/high-cpu-usag ... ence-host/

Thanks, Peter, just had the windows update and I will run windows focus again to see if the update has calmed shell experience host down? I couldn't run the sfc command because I can't run the command prompt as administrator as I have killed Cortana and buried her. :) Unless you know of another way?
