Why? So people can be censured? I feel so strongly about the whole thing being blown up again by VP personnel I've contacted them to be removed from their mailing list and to close my account with them.

I'd agree that a temporary closure to allow folk to calm down wouldn't go amiss, but not a deletion---so far it hasn't really crossed the boundaries, nobody's resorted to name calling or insults. Nothing wrong with heated discussions, as long as the heat doesn't reach boiling point!

For the record I've asked for my account to be deleted,no idea if that can happen or if UKTS prevent it,hopefully you'll see the back of me soon.

Why on earth would you want to have the thread deleted? I cannot envisage seeing the same request if other developers were involved.

If a developer has such disdain for the work of fellow developers/competitors, let people see it and make their own choices.

Agreed. Quite happy for people to see what they see and make their own choices based on this thread,my posts are my honest feelings,I won't pretend to be someone I'm not.

May I make a polite suggestion? Because I feel this whole thing about not posting here any more and deletion of accounts is a bit of a nonsense.

Could you not just continue posting here in a freeware capacity? I'm certain I won't be alone in appreciating everything you have done (and continue to do) in a freeware capacity. This includes posting here to make users aware of live streams of your free content for which I am grateful.

I'm just waiting for some enterprising soul to think beyond the five words posted by the OP and actually talk about the route itself, or perhaps the online videos posted of it, instead of continuing to contribute to the fall-out from the OP's post...

I've been out for a drive and calmed down somewhat and taken an amlodipine, however, I think that what has been said has been said and I'm not feeling that I should retract my statements because I feel strongly about the same events happening here again with VP personnel, I made an impassioned plea when you all decided to junk UKTS to stay the first time because of my respect for you guy's, irrespective of that plea, I think you guys made the right decision but you collectively should have honored that decision not to post in here since you all felt the way you did. And as you say, Mark, that is all I have to say on the matter.

If the mods think I'm being unreasonable then censure and holiday away all you like.

It's local to me, I work in Keighley (less than a mile from the station) and from the few shots I've seen of it it's pretty damned *true to life*. Unfortunately it seems none of the video previews from twitch are still available so you'll just have to take my word for it!

Simply because it can spiral and good members (who also contribute good content within TS2xxx) end up leaving, it's happened in the past and I wouldn't like to see it happen again

Whenever I travel on the line (usually annual February) I always call in Wetherpoons in Keighley, was £1.99 a pint for a long time but last time I went (July) it was £2.09 or £2.19 - I then head onto Skipton for one or two more

@Almark I see no request for your account to be closed. Try emailing support@atomic-systems.com and it will generate a ticket. Equally if Vulcan Productions want to quit UKTS then provide me a list of user names and the forum accounts can be terminated thus removing any ability to respond to unfair criticism on the forums. Entirely at the user's choice.

I thought long an hard about whether to approve the original post since it was the first post of a new user and I suspected it might be a troll. The disproportionate response from a number of posters shows that if that was the case he succeeded - he created an account. Posted a post within a minute and has not been online since.

I got better things to do tonight and this week - those American Truck Sim loads aren't going to deliver themselves and there is the small matter of the Barrow-In-Furness show next weekend where Robert, Mike, Duncan Chaddock and myself will be demoing TS2018 / TS2019 / TSW.
