It is a great effort and highly detailed as Alan points out.

Looks great! Curious whether this will also form the basis of the York-Newcastle section of the forthcoming London-Edinburgh route - time will tell I guess!

Are you being "cryptic" again Gary?
To what do you refer?

No, I'm being sceptical Martin...possibly even cynical.
I'd love to be wrong of course... in fact I pray that I'm WRONG

It is not, it is freeware and will only be available from the DPS website.

Sceptical about what? Your talking double dutch as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not normally one for watching streams but I watched one of this route last night and stayed for a good couple of hours, sorry I didn't chat! Thoroughly enjoyed it though.

That's clear.
The forthcoming magnificient London to Edinburgh route (ECML merge, see
https://xcroute.com/extended/ecml-london-to-edinburgh/) will, as far as the York to Newcastle portion is concerned, rely on DPS's work. Currently it is stated that ECML North East (DPS extension and upgrade) will be used for this - i.e. the existing route. I'm wondering though whether, with the brand new North East England route now shortly becoming available, it will also be this brand new route, rather than the much older one, that will be used for the ECML merge.

When watching last night someone did ask that very question and the answer was no as the new route doesn't go to Newcastle yet. It was also stated that no decision was made on whether it would in the future either, only that it was the older route that would be used in the merge.
