The route looks amazing, and is a real improvement over v4 - it's obvious how much hard work has gone into this, so thanks to all involved!

In attempting to create a scenario, I may have stumbled on some glitches with the routing of trains out of Euston. For some reason, trains are all routed along Camden Junction Up Primary Fast, which I think is incorrect (up, by convention, is towards London I think?) - though placing a waypoint results in them being routed along Camden Junction Down Main without any problems that I can see. The slightly more irksome issue is that the dispatcher refuses to route services through Camden Junction Down Watford - the train is forced to reverse at the set of points immediately to the East of the marker. I couldn't see a problem with track directionality, so I don't know if this is an issue with the route, an error on my part, or one of the dispatcher's many quirks. I know there are bug fixes occuring though, so thought I would mention this just in case!

Both issues occur with diesel locos, so I guess that eliminates electrification issues, and service priority also seems to have no effect. If it helps, the player train in my putative scenario is a class 350 service to Northampton departing platform 8 and classified as stopping passenger.

I haven't found any issues with quickdrive, and was delighted to see an office block at Coventry station which is where my dad used to work when I was young :D

I've not written any scenarios other than the QD's, so I'll have a look and see what happens.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

You do seem to need a lot of waypoints for journeys on the Down Slow.
On a short trip to Watford using the following waypoints:
Camden Bank Line C
Camden Junc Line C
Camden Junc Down Watford
Willesden Junc Down Slow
WRM Down Slow
South Kenton Down Slow Neutral Section.
Watford
I was held on a red at signal WM 313, due being routed via the Up Slow, which the signal isn't configured for.
Adding Primrose Hill Tunnel Down Slow as a waypoint after Camden Junc Down Watford resolved the Problem.
Is this of any help to you.

Hi Alex, and thanks for responding so quickly! I will give your suggested routing above a go, and let you know what happens. At first glance, it looks as if it will route the player train to where it should go, and solve the problem.

I do wonder, if even Captain Cook would have some difficulty navigating through the "spaghetti" at Euston :P

Small piece of contact wire I spotted missing just north of Rugby on the through line.

Don’t really recognise much of the northern end of the route in V5 compared to V4 - nice one Alex.
The stations are more true to life and the gaping fields of green are no more.

It’s one brilliant route. And it’s come a long way from the original.

I think that's the one spotted by Deltic100 and reported on page 2
Thanks anyway.
You were always good at spotting missing wires

:D Well, your suggested set of waypoints for the slow lines out of Euston worked - could be the complexity of the various junctions means the dispatcher needs a bit of micro-management, but that is a very small price to pay for the possibilities this route offers. Thanks for checking that!
