Actually, there isn't, the cab goes dark but the tracks remain bright, as Skyline has pointed out, tunnel track textures are dark.

I cant find any tunnel occlusion volume used on the route. Tunnels there are build the old way with just darkened textures, and not even the right way with the legacy tunnel shaders, but just darker textures. The route is from pre TS2012. All routes from RSC/DTG released after the major TS2012 upgrade are using the occlusion volumes of course. The tracks were build in 2012. To solve this problem, AP or whoever needs to create a darkened track copy for that route. Better way were to add occlusion volumes to the route.

Certainly, but would a commercial developer directly editing another commercial developers route for financial gain raise all sorts of licensing issues?---editing the assets in the manner done for the enhancement pack could already be see as coming close to the mark as it is.

It may well do but we don't know what agreements, arrangements the two parties may have, if any. That's a commercial matter between themselves.

True Len, but I wasn't saying that anything untoward had occurred, just that it could be seen that way. Admittedly I didn't do it properly

I agree that in older routes (of which SC is the only one I have tried) there is a problem with glowing track in tunnels after installing this pack. Certainly not an issue on more modern routes however. Bit of a nuisance as the new track does look much better. Unfortunately bright track in tunnels outweighs the improved overall look for me so as I had taken a full backup before installing this pack I have reverted to the original Content files for SC and the original assets under RSC/SettleCarlisle. Seems to have done the trick, and does show you in fact how good the new look track is - but for this route Blea Moor tunnel was a bit too annoying with the bright track!

Tunnel track, in theory at least, should be the easiest *missing* variation to produce, essentially being just a dark version of the standard track.

So, has anyone else asked Rich about a patch? The more that do it the possibility that this bright track in tunnels can be fixed? :)

I'm curious on how that would install

If the pack has over written the normal and tunnel track with one version how would a patch know which sections should be tunnel track?

Because the pack doesn't edit the route Peter; the tunnel track will still be called for by the route and the game Will find the correctly named .bin file. That .bin file will be pointing to the normal track files though.

Gary
How would all this tie in with the previously publish FODDA tunnel occlusions?
Any Interactions?
No Effect?

Has anyone noticed some of the 3rd rail “ends” not rendering correctly on the Brighton Mainline. They look like they're missing but have actually rendered “backwards” back under the 3rd rail. If you've got the same issue, do you have any thoughts as to why this could be happening ?

Had an e-mail from Rich and there won't be any fixes for the tunnel track due to "technical" issues? Looks like a "fix" from some suitably technical person/s for pre-2012 routes will be needed! :-?

As far as I'm aware Peter, occlusions are a scenic item so shouldn't be greatly affected by the AP pack. There are some scenery tiles that do seem to have amended, presumably for the retexturing to match the track gravel so there may be isolated spots where an additional occlusion is effectively removed.
The reverse is true if an occlusion was added after the AP pack, the occlusion would be added but the scenery tile would then call for the old textured asset that AP have edited out.
Much of that depends of course on just what the scenery changes have been.
