In the last week or so started experiencing an issue I have never had before. Basically in Drive mode the 2D Map randomly stops displaying the signal aspects - only shows me signal names but no red or green. At first I thought it may have something to do with the Aylesbury add-on from JT which seems to display the 2D map a little differently to the norm but I am not sure if that is a red herring or not.
Forgetting JT routes, if I start driving on the DG Woodhead Blue route all the signals have vanished from the 2D map (except their names). If however I then go over and try the Medway route everything is working as it should. If I go back to Woodhead then that is now also fine. Reload the game and go back to Woodhead and blow me if they haven't all vanished again.
Anyone seen anything like this or got any thoughts/suggestions? Clearly not critical but both irritating and odd.

Re: 2D Map Issue
Yeah, the new signals that come with Aylesbury seem to mess up the 2D map across all routes, every route (for me at least) featuring the more cartoonish signal icon.
Try deleting the Blueprints.pak file (the file that gets junked when you clear the cache) from the ..\JustTrains\CommonLibrary folder and try one of your other routes--for me that works to let the game display signals as it used to, though dropping into Aylesbury can switch it back again.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. Must admit I had my suspicions about the Aylesbury route. Cheers
Re: 2D Map Issue
Actually much to my surprise it didn't make any difference. So I figured best thing to do was clear cache and get rid of all blueprints. However this also made no difference.
So what happens is: Load TS2018, Load a Woodhead Blue Scenario and no signals showing. Exit
Load TS2018, Load a Medway Valley scenario and signals all showing as they should. Stay in game but load a Woodhead Blue scenario and now the signals all appear.
Exit TS2018, Reload and go straight back into Woodhead Blue and gone again. Now try loading a Medway Scenario and they have also disappeared from here.
Exit TS2018, Reload and go straight back into the Medway one and they are all back again.
Damned if I have any idea what is going on.

Re: 2D Map Issue
Hope this may help.
Each time I go to Woodhead Blue first, from a clean TS Start, there are no signals shown in 2D map.
If I go to Chiltern and the slightly unusual symbols, the Woodhead adopts them AS IT does from other routes symbols used before it.
Oddly if I go to Woodhead blue QD from other routes QD it crashes TS but all the other scenarios are fine. may be connected maybe not.
But I think the problem is with Woodhead Blue not Chiltern, but that is a guess.

Re: 2D Map Issue
Thanks John. Sounds similar doesn't it. What seems to happen is that Woodhead is adopting the 2D Map patterns of whatever you loaded before. However I also saw this happening on JTs south west expressways which is why I suspected Aylesbury. The reason I went to Woodhead was simply to pick a non JT route.
It is certainly weird - there must be some common factor that causes it to happen on some routes not others. I would have said using the default Kuju signals, but I don't think Woodhead does. Its irritating and a bit baffling but not the end of the World.

Re: 2D Map Issue
For the record, the issue with signalling on 2D maps has nothing to do with the JT Aylesbury route so my apologies for that. About 2 months ago I migrated to a better PC, my old PC does still run however but clearly does not have the Aylesbury route installed. However Woodhead blue does still have the same problem. So you were right John.
I think the appearance of the new signals in Aylesbury (as highlighted by Gptech) alerted us to the fact that something odd seems to happen with 2D map picking up other blueprints and maybe just makes it more obvious.
I will stop worrying about it I think
