Re: The Conwy Valley Line
Hi, this route looks gorgeous and I would love to download it, but I do not have the new Maerdy (only the old one), nor Corris, nor the intention of buying these two
how broken will the be without these two?

Most of Blaenau Ffestiniog is covered by these two but there may be also odd bits along the route as well.marbel wrote:Hi, this route looks gorgeous and I would love to download it, but I do not have the new Maerdy (only the old one), nor Corris, nor the intention of buying these twohow broken will the be without these two?

Re: The Conwy Valley Line
Drop back to page 3 in this thread and you'll find a wee aside into the Maerdy assets. As the route costs nowt, you've nothing to lose by installing it and seeing (or not seeing in the case of missing assets) how it looks.marbel wrote:Hi, this route looks gorgeous and I would love to download it, but I do not have the new Maerdy (only the old one), nor Corris, nor the intention of buying these twohow broken will the be without these two?

Re: The Conwy Valley Line
As Gary says, it depends on what's missing. However, I doubt that anyone wouldn't notice the absence of (say) the quarry face at Blaenau, or platforms...

Re: The Conwy Valley Line
They can be easily swapped in using RW Tools though Ash; there are enough of us running the route to be able to suggest good alternatives.

Re: The Conwy Valley Line
Maybe, but that would depend on whether, in the possible case of the Blaenau slate-face, whether the missing assets are custom ones that cannot properly be replaced from elsewhere.

Thanks for your responses, I'll give it a try over the weekend, and who knows, maybe I'll spend some Euros in the Dovetail sale after all

True Ash, but as above that's where we come in....ashgray wrote:depend on whether, in the possible case of the Blaenau slate-face, whether the missing assets are custom ones that cannot properly be replaced from elsewhere.
The rocks used at Blaenau are from the EE3B version of Maerdy:

The rocks that come in the Austerity version of Maerdy look like:

and even for those who have neither of those two routes, the Kuju asset looks like:
