That's a bloody huge problem for the average TS user!

If I'm right and the initial question was more along the lines of "if DTG extend the base route will Conwy Valley just install straight into that new version?" then most users will find that they can't have their cake and eat it. Sure, you can do it, Xavier can do it, Danny leach can do it, I can do it, so which one of us is going to volunteer to talk everybody else through doing it?
brysonman46 wrote:just copying the Scenarios into a new Route folder will cause problems with the Scenario database (2 scenarios with the same ID in 2 different routes).
Yes, but as we're talking about porting over scenarios that implies shifting them from one location to another---no duplicate IDs that way. Changing the ID is simple though, just a single character needs changing in the folder name and the reference in the ScenarioProperties.xml file to point to that folder, but once again many will feel such a simple edit is beyond them---yes, I've a thing at the moment about how the game is being dumbed down, or at least the users are being led to believe that they aren't clever enough to do anything with it, and accordingly have started to lose the ability to think or the desire to learn.

Without going into those, they're your business not ours, what's to stop you getting the pack/routes (£12.49 at the moment) and installing separately from your current version?
Chances are you'd be able to copy over the route into your older version as what you're entitled to use is tied to your Steam account, not the version of the game you're using.

I have my reasons for not wanting to purchase the TS2018 pack and they aren't relevant here at this time, but would love to have both routes. Am just curious if anyone in the know, might have any ideas ?

Thanks

Derek
The question was asked on the Dovetail forums and the answer was effectively along the lines of not being standalone during the TS2018 cycle. Although it seems to me you are cutting off your nose to spite your face here.

Apart from this glitch with the platforms and the zombies at Blaenau where they dont follow the curve on the platform on my installation, this is a great route. Ill need to try it on a Regional Railways Class 101 next. Many thanks!

That's a bug that crept in in 2016 or was it 15? DtG are too busy spinning that flywheel to sort such bugs out, unfortunately. :-?

Do you have "Memories of Maerdy" instead of "Return to Maerdy"? The latter is used.

Milk bottles denote missing ,bin files, so if RW Tools gives no "missing assets" notifications it suggests that the main .bin can be found, but something else called for in that .bin isn't.
Where exactly is the "missing* foot crossing?...let's concentrate on one at a time.

It's a wooden plank crossing loft, from Return To Maerdy.

Yep, it is indeed....

Yep, it is indeed....and one that throws my theory rightout of the window...nothing extra is called for.

Martin, if you don't have Return to Maerdy, how the hell do you get a clean bill of health from RW Tools?

Memories of Maerdy includes those too Martin, worth swapping them with RW Tools--make a backup of the route first of course but I can't see them being significantly different.

Not all of those Gary, I've tried swapping those out, they aren't in the Maerdy folder the concrete wall and stone wall? Using the Kujunk ones instead since he has used a lot of content from the Kuju folder.
