Hi Guys

Thanks to you all and to the route author, for perservering with my problems in finding the EXTENDED route including Hereford.

I have now sorted the problem. I had already tweaked most of the 25 scenarios that came with the ORIGINAL route, so when I had installed the EXTENDED route, I copied those over from the original route.

For those of you who havent installed this route, I would THOROUGLY RECOMMEND IT ! Its a huge route, with great scenery, and...wait for it.......no less that 44 Scenarios (if you copy over the ones from the original route like I have ),
to drive !!

Go get it...you will NOT be dissappointed.

I'll second that.It's my local line and the accuracy is unbelievable,well worth contributing to.I don't know whether the author has finished this route but I seem to recall that when this was first announced there might be a loop from Droitwich round to Kidderminister but I may be mistaken.
Anyway,if you haven't got it you're missing a treat.

Info from the Author states that the route from Droitwich Spa to Birmingham via Kidderminster, is NOT now going to be developed.

But the Redditch Branch is fully complete, as are many other nooks and crannies. I have just had my first drive over the Hereford to Worcester section, and the scenery is a LITTLE "sparse" in places, particularly along the first part of this section, but as far as I can see, all other lines have full scenery. And dont forget...up to 44 scenarios !

Call me slow, or at least confused, but I have been completely unable to find the version with Hereford.

I have version 1.03 downloaded yesterday (from the Readme - but showing as version 1.02 on the webpage) but no sign of Hereford - can anyone point me in the right direction please?

What I do have is beautifully modelled...

I am soooo pleased to read that I was NOT the only person having problems finding the version with Hereford in it ! I had all manner of problems. They seem to have two websites, which doesn't help.

Eventually I contacted the author by email (Address on site), and he replied to me directly, as to how to obtain the right version.

As stated, the way I finally made sure I had the correct version, was to contact the route author.

It's all cloak and dagger and coded messages here, isn't it?

The only site in this thread I can see is https://xcroute.com/. You then say people need to contact the author via email (on site apparently) in order to obtain the right version, but I see no email. You then also state there are actually two websites, but don't give a clue as to where the other website is.

Try https://xcroute.com/extended

For the extended version, but not 100% certain it is still available?

Thanks Geoff. Tried the one at that link but that still doesn't seem to be the one talked about. A few posts ago it was stated that the branch to Redditch is complete, it isn't on the one from that link. Still none the wiser.

That link was given by the route author in response to Alan Thomson saying the author shouldn't be asking money for the route donationware or not if using Thomson assets in the route.

The authors email address is :

It is through contacting him at that address, that he sent me a link to the correct place to find the extended version of the route. Just email him and he will reply most likely very promptly. And you will then have no doubts as to which is the correct link for the extended route.

I appreciate the difficulties you are having, as I had the same problem. But as I said earlier, I think he has realised that things were confusing people, and seems to be restructuring his links and the fact that he had TWO websites, as things seem to have changed in the last 24 hours.

Alan Thompson's, Youtube vids say it's a well done route thats WIP. by the way!Alan Thompson is in no way associated with Thompson the route developer.if they had a problem then it's up to them and the author.
