I've already asked the question if this differs from the same version number I obtained in August 2015, from the other German RailSim website, Martin, I haven't noticed anything different.

Hi Steve, it seems mainly updated assets + working signalling, although there is quite a long list of updates. Make sure you download parts 1 and 2 from the site though before extracting part1, or it fails saying can't find part 2. seems to be a spanned rar file so you don't need to unpack part2 as that is done by part1. Edit thanks for the links. :)

The Part 1 / part 2 download complication ( which results in a failure message) can be avoided by downloading the route from
https://www.railsimulator.net/wsif/inde ... au-v-3-11/
Just click " herunterladen" . This worked for me. :)
There are also a few freeware downloads required, all listed in the manual.

Yeah, that's the URL I put up, however, that is the route from 2015, unsure if the one on railsim.de from the other week has been updated, I already have the route installed, of course, I'm sure Mark's post is relevant, sometimes you don't need to highlight everything to get a folder created, you just click on Part One and it does its thing and puts all the assets into it, give that a try.

Hi all,
I looked at Railsim.de, and downloaded part1 and part2. On opening Part2 (Altenburg - Wildau v 3.12part2.rar). I get the following pop-up (see attachment). I do have a copy of the original version 7ecaf8d4-8aa0-4a42-8c15-cd1af0f69bb7 stored in on a BU disc.
Tried re downloading but get the same re-action.
Open to suggestions.

Hi Gary,
bear with me, having an all round bad day. As stated above I have 7ecaf8d4-8aa0-4a42-8c15-cd1af0f69bb7 which is the original Altenburg Wildau route. Also on the same drive there is 3045addc-5d92-4b7d-a2fe6a759dad which is the update to V3. Incidentally the same one that is downloaded using the link from skiddaw above.
Marks link leads to the new download on railsim.de, and here is where confusion arises.
On opening Marks link, you are given two options. "Download or goto entry". Using download you receive Part1 only, which among other things has a content folder with route 3045addc-5d92-4b7d-a2fe6a759dad. Going to "entry" is where you can then download Parts 1&2, which is what I've done.
So to summarise dont know whether I have version 3 or version 3.12 installed. Nor how do I get access to whatever is in Part 2.

How odd! I downloaded parts one and two and opened both with winrar without issue, just copied and pasted both into railworks folder.

Just a point of clarification.
The name of the link I posted refers to v3.11. The version actually installed by the download is 3.12.

The changes incorporated at v3.12 are:
• Tunnel blackouts adapted to IKB reloaded
• Quickdrive revision
• Added Distant Terrain

Thanks all,
this gets weirder, in an attempt to see what is in the part2.rar. I changed the extension to .zip then tried Win 10 "extract all" which came back with the message "the compressed zipped folder is empty" Where as in downloads it's shown as containing 146.134 KB. Me head hurts. I have installed the one John above recommends.

Part1 and Part2 make up a spanned archive, so you should only need to open Part1 to extract the contents for both files - definitely worked for me using 7Zip. I gave up on Winzip and Winrar long ago.

What is the download speed for this in the UK ? getting about 50 to 100KB/s in NZ. Have the route and installed it. Ran it without the signals. Looks good. Now downloading the signals.

Signals don't show. I have downloaded them and installed them. Installed them 2 or 3 times but still don't show.

Hi Trev,

You must have missed something, I downloaded and installed the signals files yesterday and the signals show fine.

There are a 3 files to download for the signals:

Deutsche_Formsignale_V7.3.zip (with Three .rwp's to install in this zip, but one is a Demo)

Deutsche_Formsignale_V7.36_Patch.zip (One .rwp in this zip)

Deutsche_HV-Signale_V7.5.zip (Two .rwp's in this zip, but one is a demo)

Then there is the Speed Signs file: wop-hektometertafeln_v3.rar

and the PZB magnet: vr_pzb_magnete_v2_3.ra

You may be already aware of them all, but thought I'd mention them anyway.
