I understood that there's now a v1.02, I don't yet know what is changed, but you should be able to download it from your account.

Cheers,

FYI, The download now really says v1.02.

Unfortunately I seem to have lost the v1.01 installer (the USB stick on which I stored it suddenly gave up the ghost yesterday!!! ) so I cannot yet uninstall the old version, thus also not install the update.

(I have contacted Aerosoft support so I hope they have a solution)

Why would you need a program's installer to uninstall it? Can't you do this via standard Windows means?

In a word, no. It is deliberate apparently to make sure that everything uninstalls completely.

If I do it via the Standard Windows control panel, and click uninstall, it starts the installer - but the installer is started in a mode so that it tries to install again. (But fails).

I tried to unistall version 1.00 using the method sugested, using the version 1.00 installer, which gives you 3 options, the bottom one says uninstall,so I tried it and got message saying it had unistalled everything.
Then I tried to install version 1.02 but on trying to install I got a message previous version must be unistalled, before installing

Can you install the new version to a dummy folder, then just delete/cut & paste elsewhere the older version from te game (both route and assets folders) and finish the job off by copying & pasting that new version into the game?

No, it checks in the registry and sees another version installed, before you can even select an installation destination folder.

Use regedit to delete the old hive entry?....but if installing to a new (dummy) location would it ignore an entry to the real TS folder tree and install a fresh (separate) copy?

Well yes manual registry editing might be my best option indeed. If Aerosoft cannot help me provide a solution (so far they've suggested me several things but this didn't help yet).

Thanks for the tip.

Just a thought, but if your'e not into registry editing.. How about using CCleaner registry cleanup which gives you the option to do a registry back up prior to the cleanup.

Don't suppose the route authors have supplied a less demanding track have they? Really lovely but boy I'm guessing it is that asset that is tatering my framerates in Frieberg and Basel? :D
