Re: Creative Rail's ECML Modern Coming to Steam
Let us know if there is such a file. I for one would like it as the chances of more scenarios appearing on workshop interests me.

Reply from CR .... East coast Modern and its appearance on Steam ... and
has had some bug fixes, but is the same route as sold through CR ...
They didn't send me the file though as they couldn't find my email address
in their database - but it's possibly because I changed it somewhere along the line.
(pun not intended).

I've run a couple of workshop scenarios for this route using the Creative Rails version of the route (East Coast Modern 108) - both work with no problems.

I have just taken another look at my scenario through RW_Tools and discovered my mention of a 173 should have been a 175.gptech wrote: Check the .bin files for those reskins, as the i66/173 at least is definitely not an official item.

Re: Creative Rail's ECML Modern Coming to Steam
Can I ask what the route and scenarios are like??? (at the risk of being directed to reviews of the “original”).
At the time of the CR release I thought the route interesting but expensive, so didn’t buy. I also thought that the BR blue version would be more to my taste, but IIRC it used “unavailable” blue stock
Anyway, thoughts appreciated and I look forward to CRs next (blue) release

The route is good and the scenarios are also good - my opinion of course...best thing really is to look through previous reviews (positive/negative) and also to Google for images of the route to see if you like the look of it...need to filter out the non CR York-Peterborough photos of course.rkk01 wrote:Can I ask what the route and scenarios are like??? In the end a bit of personal research is usually better than just asking - otherwise go by my "good"and "good"

Creative Rail have just sent me ( via a link) an update that:
"features a number of small fixes.
We recommend that you do a full uninstall of original route first. Please also remember to backup the route file as this won't be offered again. "
I'm downloading it now, but I don't know what the fixes are.

Re: Creative Rail's ECML Modern Coming to Steam
Do you know what version number you've been sent?
Re: Creative Rail's ECML Modern Coming to Steam
I haven't installed it yet, but the route properties .XML file says it is version 1.0 i.e the same as before. The Manual however has been revised/changed and is dated 2018 rather than 2016.IronBidder wrote:Do you know what version number you've been sent?

Sorry, I should have given more information. The zip file I got from CR when I bought the route last year is named 108 (V1.08 I assume.) Is there anything you've been given that suggests a more recent version?Springer6 wrote:I haven't installed it yet, but the route properties .XML file says it is version 1.0 i.e the same as before. Sorry, it wasn't directly from CR. It was via link sent to me in an e-mail from "MailBigFile" which I assume is a host being used by CR. The download had a title , but it meant nothing in terms of .zip files "TJNFX".
However the only thing so far suggesting a more recent version is the later date ( for me) on the Manual. I assume that there have some minor "fixes", but I haven't found them yet.

Re: Creative Rail's ECML Modern Coming to Steam
Hi, I requested and received this file from CR and loaded it earlier. Everything seems fine except...... the class 66 scenarios will not load stating cannot load track.bin. The annoying thing is behind the black text box I can see the loco, the tracks, everything. The fact that the other scenarios work fine leads me to think there is an issue with class 66. Anyone have any idea why this is happening.

Re: Creative Rail's ECML Modern Coming to Steam
I assume they are career scenarios? Does the file received from CR include a replacement Tracks.bin? If both of those are yes then its probably the career scenarios failing because it isn't the Tracks.bin from Steam.rikwesson wrote:Hi, I requested and received this file from CR and loaded it earlier. Its the only thing I can think of anyway.
Re: Creative Rail's ECML Modern Coming to Steam
Have you tried pressing "F2" ? I have had this happen on other routes and scenarios where I got an "unable to load track.bin". Pressing "F2" often allows the scenario to then load and run.rikwesson wrote:Hi, I requested and received this file from CR and loaded it earlier. As has been said it is probably something to do with the fact that the scenario was written before some route changes.

Thanks for the replies, pressing F2 did the trick.
Many thanks, Richard
