With a generous supply of rolling stock by the looks of it.

Does anyone know if it's had any modifications from CR's version?

Yes, I'd like to know that too? Judging by the splash screen though I would guess not? :-?

£17.49 until 20 April

:-? hmmm, i own both the EWS Class 66v2, and the Class 91 pack but i am not being offered the £17.49 price, it's £19.99 for me.

No matter how hard i try, i can't like the green/brown track!

Cheers

Judging by comments on the German forum it would seem to be that you get 10% discount for each one you own. I own all three and am offered the route for £17.49.

I have the non-Steam version and hated the ballast colours. The relevant files are largely named the same as the default Oxford-Paddington ones and if you copy those across it improves things greatly although there are still some not changed.

Showing £17.49 for me, so quite tempted...

But I’d definitely buy the dirty version if it was on Steam ;-)

It's publically available in Dovetail's store at £17.49 for anyone https://store.dovetailgames.com/uk/prod ... ute-add-on!

That pricing may be a mistake, so if it interests you might want to be quick. Remember though, no refund period when bought from DTG's shop (I think).

If anyone has this new purchase, could you advise whether it is the same file structure as the original Creative Rail?

That would include the route folder being named 91408b68-01d8-42a0-a17a-7f791e2107b2, and Assets Folders RBP1/Scenery, and CreativeRail/EastCoast

(appreciating that wouldn't be the full story, but it would be a start!)

I guess what I'm wondering is, whether scenarios designed for the Steam-purchased DLC would work on the original purchase.

Both the route and asset folders appear to be the same as the original Creative Rail release.

Inside the .ap file are the low poly wagons from a previous contributor to the sim - good to see these made available again.

File structure appears to be the same and the 3 scenarios I have tried for the original route appear to work (all third party scenarios).

That's encouraging, hopefully workshop scenarios should be good to go on the original then.

Interesting to know if they fixed the bugs with electrification etc. If not, I uploaded three fixes as UKTS 36360, they should still work if the files are identical.

Very encouraging indeed. I was an early adopter with the CR version and have all the DTG included stock, so hopefully any scenarios for either will be as you say "good to go"

Hi. I decided to create a short experimental scenario last night using the original "York - Peterborough modern" route, purchased many months ago directly from CreativeRail.
It was certainly accepted into the Workshop.
Here is what I have mentioned in the description:
This experimental 15 minute scenario was designed to see if the original Peterborough - York route, would be accepted into the Workshop. It appears to work.

All the Rollingstock are Kuju based.

Player DMU is regarded as a 173 although RW_Tools lists it as a 166 {Modified to be a 173?}
But the game seems to regard it as a 158

There are 2 Intercity 43.
But the game seems to regard them as an Intercity class 91.

There are 3 EWS 37 class trains.
But the game seems to regard them as class 66 v2

We will just have to see how this all plays out.

The scenario is just a fictional one, representing a meeting of important Business personalities that need to attend a meeting in Nottingham and they are coming from both north and south of Grantham, maybe it has been arranged by Margaret Thatcher?

Please leave a message stating whether the version of the route you are using is the original one purchased from Creative Rail or has been purchased through DTG/STEAM. This may help others wishing to know what works.

Thanks.
The scenario:

Usually/historically for workshop scenarios. the identity of the stock used is taken from this section of the stock's .bin file...

Code: Select all

					<EngineName d:type="cDeltaString">what it's called goes hereEngineName>
					<LocalisedEngineName>
						<Localisation-cUserLocalisedString>
							<English d:type="cDeltaString">...and here</English>
							<French d:type="cDeltaString">and then here, but in French</French>
							<Italian d:type="cDeltaString">...Italian</Italian>
							<German d:type="cDeltaString">....German</German>
							<Spanish d:type="cDeltaString">...Spanish</Spanish>
							<Dutch d:type="cDeltaString"></Dutch>
							<Polish d:type="cDeltaString"></Polish>
							<Russian d:type="cDeltaString"></Russian>
							<Other/>
							<Key d:type="cDeltaString"></Key>
						</Localisation-cUserLocalisedString>
					</LocalisedEngineName>
so regardless of what it sys in any descriptive field you can *fool* the workshop system into believing that what you've used is an official item of stock (as per the green class 31 scenario for Port Road that appeared years ago, despite there being no green class 31 in any DLC pack at that time)

Check the .bin files for those reskins, as the i66/173 at least is definitely not an official item.

Don't forget that you haven't sent the route for approval, just files that live in folder 'x' calling for other files in folders 'y' and 'z'---the system doesn't care what "real language" names those folders relate to.

Someone on a FB TS group has said that he contacted CR re any differences between
the 2 versions, and he received a file from them to patch the original.
