Be careful with comments like that or you will have the don’t like it, don’t buy it brigade down your neck!
From what I can see , it looks brilliant and very well put together. But volume 1 seems to be showing off the northern livery “spec” a lot, just to confirm if you buy it, and what’s been said about the included 6 scenarios, am I correct in applying that if you don’t make any scenarios yourself, be it to lazy or just think if am buying something I should be able to use it as it’s intended (delete as appropriate) the northern 319 that’s been widely shown around will be defunct and sit in your library like most of the other packs with enormous potential but little delivery ?
Here’s hoping the enormous selection of livery’s will be put to good use by the community on steam workshop for the enjoyment of many people who just like me are to “lazy” to make our own....oh wait.....
Looking good though AP
I cant get my head around it. So Volume 1 includes the Northern "modern" variants and V2 will be i imagine the old Thameslink. So if V1 comes with 6 scenarios for the MML how does that fit into Northern rail ??????

Unless i am confused or got something wrong i fail to see how Northern liverys will work on the MML?

Does certainly look a good unit though Jordi really has got the detail spot on and the sounds do sound really good though.

I would “assume” it’s going to be like the 158 EP and 170 EP it terms of huge quantity of livery varieties but only a select livery will be used for included scenarios. Am still searching for the community scenarios that utilise the other livery’s in the AP packs of the new generation business model but struggling, would it be safe to assume the 319 will be the same ? Complete the 6 included scenarios that will come with it then if you don’t wish to make scenarios yourself or RW tools is not your friend then you have a great piece of kit , and it does look great but is slightly robbed of usage ?

Vol.1, to quote AP, "will focus on the class between the beginning of this decade and the present day where many changes have taken place."

So that will cover:

FCC
Thameslink (New)
Southern
London Midland
Northern Rail

I won't say a lot, but I am just curious on one thing.

Don't get me wrong, it looks stunning and is well needed. But I am just curious about the pricing structure for both packs. Will each be £15 or will there be a discount if you already own one of them? I would really be put off by the cost if it adds up to far too much.

I think you'll have to direct that question to AP. I don't think anyone here will know the answer until it's released!

Watched 5 minutes then turned off the comments on there was just gettcorrecting my beyond a joke. Didn’t take long for people to start bickering at each other then complaining about dtg, Ap and anything else they could find excuse to moan about.

I guess that video about human decency went in one ear and out the other with that lot watching AP's twitch. I may not be AP's greatest fan and don't look up to him like he is god as some do on here but he deserves to be able to show off his up coming packs without the viewers behaving like they are in a school playground. And both AP fans and non AP fans were as bad as each other before we get the it was the DTG fanboy comments from AP fans.

I did not watch all of the youtube video since it was way too long but I got a good feel as to where he was going after the first few minutes. I didn't watch the twitch stream either since I had better things to do and frankly am not interested in AP products at all.

The reports of a free-for-all on the AP twitch don't surprise me. We get the same on Matt's TSLive streams from time to time but we have a bloodthirsty bunch of moderators such as Moggy / Darknezz and a few others who don't stand for any messing about. Pick a fight with Darknezz and you will lose badly. Twitch can be like a warzone at times so you have to have a good moderator team. I help out when time permits but the others do way more than me.

Backseat moderating is also an issue. It takes two to have an argument so the AP fans ought to have kept quiet and let moderators deal with it.
Kindest regards

What I find even more amusing is how all the comments of “the dtg 319 is rubbish” are appearing yet people who own the ap soundpack for the 319 before it got removed where quite happily driving that for so long then all of a sudden the dtg offering is all buggy and rubbish as soon as ap announced the one there going to be selling.
Amazing how something turns to be rubbish as soon as an ap pack appears.

**Slightly Off Topic** I actually find the comments coming up on Matt's TSLive streams irritating as I was trying to watch and learn something he was showing in the video but all the comments were very distracting.

I was a lurker for a while before deciding to join this forum and I must admit, reading a lot of your posts on this forum you certainly do come across as having a serious beef with ap for what ever reason?

All this ap fanboy & dtg fanboy stuff bouncing around on this forum is really quite tiresome to be frank, when it comes to train simulator I'm looking for realism and I really don't care which company provides me with it, be it dtg or ap. In my case, ap is the one providing me with the realism I'm looking for as I like as accurate sounds as possible, that makes a massive difference to my enjoyment with whatever locomotive I'm driving in the train simulator so I own all of ap soundpacks & enhancement packs because sounds are just as important as the visuals. I own all of the uk rolling stock released by dtg, minus all the steam locos as I have no interest in that era, I always give each one a spin when I first buy it but unless the sounds are already close to the real thing (that I know of), or if there's no ap soundpack or ehnacement pack available then I tend to to use that particular rolling stock for ai only.

If ap wasn't around my enjoyment of playing ts2018 wouldn't be anywhere near the level it is now and I wouldn't have invested so much time & money into it or even continued to play it, I snapped up the great western dlc for tsw on day of release but apart from messing around with it for a day or two I haven't played it since, not because of the lack of scenarios etc but purely and simply because the sounds aren't accurate on the hst (my profile name is probably a dead giveaway but it's my fav loco to drive), can't comment on the class 166 as I've never been on or seen one for real so have no idea how they sound in real life, I'm hoping ap will support tsw in the future and if they do then no doubt I'll check that sim out a lot more.

I really don't get all this fanboy nonsense, the way I look at it, do what you have to do to make the sim enjoyable for YOU & for me that means snapping up soundpacks & enhancement packs from ap for the reasons stated above.

I tend to agree. AP are one of the main reasons I stuck with TS, and Steam Sounds Supreme and VR when they came along are another two, there are others who have come along as well. As for the serious beef, the answer I believe you will find in the forum archives. I was here at the time and remember the start, and yes the constant repetition is very tiring, however indirect, here and on Facebook. Thankfully you can mark somebody as an enemy in your profile here and then you no longer have to read their posts as long as you log in first.
