Well not quite correct, if you did not buy the class 319/325 sound pack then you have lost out, lost out on a fantastic enhancement pack for £4.99, because the replacement is in two parts and will cost a lot more than £4.99. That said unless you are very new to TS then if you did not buy it then you probably did not want it, and will nether want the new one either.

Which is the point people are making that you are failing to understand or failing to accept
New people now don’t have a choice. Whilst before the soundpack was removed they did. They could install the soundpack onto the dtg version and guess what. Have sounds for the workshop scenarios. Now the pack is removed they don’t have that option.
What is the choice now. To pay way more I imagine for this new class 319 that is going to be released in at least “2 volumes” and it will not work on workshop scenarios.

That's totally understandable, Jordi. It's a shame that some people overlook the fact that there is an enormous amount of work that goes into producing some of this stuff and that some developers pour their heart and soul into it. I wish that we could get back to discussing the merits of something after it has been released rather than speculating and shooting from the hip.

They still removed it without warning. At least DTG were sporting enough to warn us about removing the Class 150/2 about a week before actually doing it.

Why would they need to "warn you" that one of their products had been superseded by another? You could have bought the old one at any time.
TBO, this just tastes like "I didn't buy it then but now that it's gone, I now want to". Get over it - that's life, you had the choice at the time.

Well I am looking forward to it and there will be many others.
As usual it is the usual suspects complaining so I wouldn't take it to heart, it will be forever thus. DTG must be relieved as AP seems to be getting the treatment usually meted out to them!

Well it is your fault for not purchasing it earlier unless conveniently you have just purchased the class 319?

The obvious answer is because they didn't own the DTG 319 until recently, or only started to think about the sound pack recently, or wanted it but had to put it on their wish list/present list as they couldn't afford it at the moment. Not everybody (including me) has the spare cash to allow them to buy things the instant they come out.

So the obvious response to that is that if someone didn't buy the 319 until recently, they missed out on the old AP pack but can now buy the new one. Simple.

No not simple at all, because buying the new pack is not necessarily a solution. The old pack IIRC worked with the DTG 319 liveries, scenarios and achievements out of the box. The forthcoming packs' functionality are unknown, but recent AP practice is for their expansion packs to not support the default liveries and therefore to not support DTG scenarios and any existing scenarios in the workshop. Lack of compatibility with the default liveries is exactly what I don't want and if this is delivered then my wallet will stay shut as a result. I don't think my requirements are unique either.
If AP had given notice of their intention to withdraw the sound pack then I would have bought the old one, even though I haven't budgeted for it. As it is I suspect AP won't get any money from me and I will have the diaspointment of not being able to improve the DTG 319. Which would be a real loose-loose situation. Of course my fears may not be realised, let's hope so.

Nice to see how unfriendly this community is becoming. If someone with not a lot of spare money has just brought the DTG 319 was hoping to buy a £4.99 sound pack that AP removed without warning telling them to buy a new train from AP for £11.99 - £14.99 or whatever price it'll be is not that helpful.

well i guess we just need to wait until the product is released. Its no use mentioning about sounds etc until it is released.
One thing i am confused about and i would be grateful if someone could help is the difference between the "2 volumes" as they are called. Is it like an old era and newer era kind of thing or am i missing something. I can remember the old thameslink versions that where navy blue with a yellow and white stripe. Then FCC took over with there purple striped livery. Is it a variation of like eras between the 2 packs ??
