On the Just Trains email was reference to a WIP the Valley Corridor Route

This looks like the old Express Corridor Route updated to run in TS2018
It was nice to run with some fast stretches of line and quite good scenery but it had normal UK Signalling.
The pictures show both the IEP 800 series and a DB 101 but still with UK Signalling so NO PZB and NO AWS - most German locos don't like AWS as they are silent when you need to cancel the horn.

Not sure about the market for this one as it's a Freeware route made in to Payware.

Freeware or payware, I'm afraid it's not for me, as I don't go for fictitious routes.

Just got informed that the author of the Express Corridor route has been sold to Just Trains and he asked me to remove it from the site. Since I amat work right now I cannot do anything about it at the moment but will be taking it down tomorrow afternoon. If you dont have it better get it while you can. It is also at RWA for the moment and at trainsim.com. I assume they have been told also. I planned on making this part of NERW. Very nice route as is. I assume Just Trains may be enhancing it but have not seen anything about it at their site. Bummer, we lose an other freeware route to payware.

Looking at the development page, it doesn't really jump out at me especially considering some of the quality payware of the last 2-3 years. I suppose all screenshots do need to be treated as WIP though, i'll keep an eye on reviews after release.

I Can't understand why JT are making a fictional route,when there are so many UK and Continental routes that still haven't been made.

I could think of a good Country which is Estonia,from the capital Tallinn to Narva on the Russian Border,the border is in the middle of the bridge over the river.

On internal routes most trains are Stadler GTW DMU/EMU's,freight trains EMD 35's and Ex Russian diesels.

There is one long distance train,which Runs between Tallinn to Moscow,it goes via Narva,St Petersburg Moscow,the Tallinn- St Petersburg trains have been suspended.so it's only the Moscow train at present

The train is operated by Go Via,the loco in Estonia is a Go Via Ludmilla type locomotive,and Russian coaches.

Trains change locomotives at Narva,the Estonian locomotives are attached/detached there,and Russian locomotives attached /detached.

The Tallinn -Narva Stadler trains terminate there.they don't go over the border
depending on the mood of the 2 countries,you will have customs and passport control on the train,if relationship is bad,usually when NATO have exercises there,or when NATO countries have a switch round.then you have to get of the train,and go through passport control and customs on the platform at Narva.

I'm afraid I will not be getting this fictitious route

I don't know if you saw Chris Tarrant's recent journey in Estonia - you might have noticed a slight problem in that the route is Russian Gauge - there are only a few items of stock available.

Just Trains tend to make route for which there is stock commercially available, either their own stock or from other sources.

There are 11 Scenarios and these are duplicated so they use either Steam stock or other providers (AP, JT, vR)
The route has AC Electrics and UK Signalling and AWS with the track speeds set in MPH

Some Scenarios feature UK stock and others European Stock but the stock is not mixed, I'm told.

Without meaning to be overly negative, this looks like a very boring route, long straights and high speed, only really half decent if it is a prototypical route where you can recreate timetables.

Yeah, it ain't no Altenburg Wildau, think I will wait for the Aylesbury route ta, but if fictional floats yer boat then go for it! I never went for the Marsdonshire route either.

I didnt do fictional routes either, until Mardonshire, that had so many "different" types of routes within it, I couldnt resist.

I guess this route is an update to the freeware route "Express Corridor" It is a ribbon of a route with a twiddly (mountain) bit in the middle, I suspect it was chosen because it only needed the references to "chinese" place names removed to make it an "EU" route.

The Freeware version was very well done an definately a High Speed route with a lot of 4 track and interesting mountain/lake scenery and some great looking modern stations

I think this updated version is another fiction route offering a lot of HS fun and an opportunity to escape from the real thing for once in a while

Has anyone, apart from John, got this route yet?

It's not got much of a mention on the RailSim.de forums so far - just a few replies the the first post.

I used to like the old Express Corridor which used BR Signalling - the Kuju type at the time.
