Looks good. Perhaps we could have an actual link (the URL) rather than a vague reference to a Facebook page

Hi
You will find it here on FacebookTS: Recreating Britain's lost routes.
If you like Scottish Routes this route is well worth downloading

Clicking on the link just gives me a facebook log-in page and, as I am not a member of facebook, nor do I wish to be, it appears I am stuck. :(

Same here...

Shame, as I fancy another Scottish Route before I buy CR 123...

All the best,

sem57566... guess which one that is!

Is this route actually downloadable from the link given above? The link requires you to be subscribed to facebook and this is something I avoid!!!!!!!

Yes you do need to register, but you are joining a group with a solid and admirable approach to the sim and the routes in production (and some already available...) :)

As always - personal choice.

I don't see why the content can't be uploaded elsewhere - there are many people (myself included) who avoid farcebook, or many other social media channels, with a passion! And I'm not all that old either...

Shame... once again a case of 'do it the way we tell you or else you are an annoying ignoramus'. The route looks great, but I really don't want to join Facetwit just to get it. I see social media as another invasion of my privacy that I really don't want or need. There have been dangerous developments of late and I really want to stay out of it.

Apologies for the moaning!

All the best,

sem64271 - Name that class!

You need to be on Facebook and then you need to join the Group and wait to be accepted before you even find further details about the route and it's requirements.

Erm...

Speaking as a crumbling antique...

I had misgivings about Facebook, so...

I made sure that my antivirus protection was high-grade...

I used an alias - as many of us do here...

I avoided saying stupid things or exposing myself recklessly - since Facebook is an open book...

I was selective about the groups I joined.

And, guess what? I've had NO problems.

And I've got access to the discussions - and the downloads - of some really worthwhile groups.

And this group is one of the best I've encountered.

But... each to his own...

Kind regards,

John M

+1

Facebook is only as dangerous as you make it or allow it to be.

As for the route, it's absolutely splendid - the perfect place to run DT's recently released Caley 123 loco or even the N2.

I'd like to add my tuppence worth - I agree whole heartedly with John M. I too am well passed the first flush of youth and I dislike privacy invasion as much as the next man. However, I am a member of the group in question as well as others and have also experienced zero problems with any of them or indeed, with facebook itself. I find that membership of these groups is a great way of meeting fellow enthusiasts plus there is the bonus of having totally free access to their routes. The process of applying for membership is, in my opinion, no more troublesome than, for example, registering with Steam Sounds Supreme in order to download their free routes.
