That's only a digital mock up, I'm yet to see what the actual liveries are like yet.

So they won't look like that?

Pretty much, no need for digital mockups now, both launch liveries are now available to see.

More pre-grouping stock!
And, even more so, pre-1948 steam era routes! I'm trying, but it'll take time for me to build up the skills.
Actually just more Southern Railway (Especially LSWR/LBSCR/SECR stuff. The latter two are especially overlooked.) stuff!
All the best,

The route I would like to see maybe in 3 parts Basingstoke- Salisbury, then Salisbury-Yeovil Junction,Yeovil Junction Exeter,
I would like to Chard Junction as it was in steam days, and Honiton Bank even Merchant Navy's struggled going up the bank when it was wet
Best era mid 1930-64 as not much changed over that period of time, other than the introduction of Bulleid Locomotives and stock, and the mid 1950's when BR Standards arrived along with MK1 coaches.
My favorite steam Loco's were the Bulleid Pacific's especially the rebuilt ones

I agree with all of that, Mr Hendle! Thankfully, Axminster - Exeter Queen's Street (St Davids) is happening as part of the DT Lyme Regis route.
As for London Midland, or Should I say LNWR, liveries, I think they could've done better with a couple of plums and a jar of spilt milk...
All the best,

Erm fellas this thread is for the new West Midlands trains franchise. Guess I should have been more specific though in the title!

It was a requirement in the ITT to have "separable business units" (WM & WC) by the end of the next franchise and It is a requirement to have one unit liveried in the LNW and in the WMR liveries for launch / handover day. So say the WMR part is supposed to break away in two years and be run by the local authority although I have not actually seen this confirmed anywhere.

I have definately read somewhere that local authorities (local mayors I think it said) were involved.
Ironically with all the snow, yesterday was the first time the trains have been on time for weeks!

I thought it was a little amusing that on the day of launch they were advising people not to travel.
