I just splashed the cash and purchased the Betton Grange and followed the install instructions
I was surprised to see the install instructions show the age old method of extracting .ap Archive files
The package is through Steam Sound Supreme who have released an update for the Black5
in direct contrast the Black5 install by Steam Sound Supreme uses a batch file to copy the file from the .ap Archive to the correct location, which is easy and as you would expect
The Betton Grange package sold by Steam Sound Supreme for the Betton Grange Society has a document which explains how to go to the DTG\ExeterKingswear\ and extract the .ap Archive
The best option would be a bit of help to create the batch file
Or
Change the instruction to copy the 3 files from the .ap Archive and place them in the folder paths as required
The instructions and path is the same process and no more complicated
Follow the install instruction until your directed to extract the .ap Archive
Use 7zip with "Open archive" option for the ExeterKingswearAssets.ap (Right Click on file for menu then 7-Zip > select the Open archive)
Follow the path to the to find the .GeoPcDx files one at a time
Select the file and click the right mouse button
This brings up the menu options for the zip program
Select the "Copy To" option
For all three .GeoPcDx files as directed
You will now have the .GeoPcDx files extracted to sit beside the ExeterKingswearAssets.ap
Cut each of the .GeoPcDx files and follow the path as per the instructions to the first location
Paste the file and then copy the file, now follow the path to all the required locations and paste a copy
Example the Engine .GeoPcDx file and the cab
The same for the King Tender .GeoPcDx file
You now have the ExeterKingswearAssets.ap still packed as recommended
The .ap Archive will be checked as unchanged and keep the files compressed
You have the Grange install outside the ExeterKingswearAssets.ap file but with the 3 .GeoPcDx files in the correct location
The files outside will be read and work as required
Just a way to allow the add on with out extracting .ap Archive files
I am sure this is an over sight and will be corrected in the mean time
Cheers Ausc
