The passenger view is in the TRBS vehicle. Some consists won't have this vehicle and therefore won't have this passenger view.

I'm loving the pack. Its a long time coming and I'm so happy its here for everyone to enjoy. I can't wait to see what reskinners will make of it.

Really excellent piece of work. Don’t usually buy DLC as soon as it comes out, but the positive reviews persuaded me to pay full price. Very pleased, as others have said, the best train to come from Dovetail for a long time. Up there with APs Class 40 and their enhanced HSTs in terms of driving pleasure. Hopefully it will be a commercial success and convince Dovetail there is a profitable market for quality Pro models.

Just such a shame the government lost faith in the project and it didn’t enter full service.

I expected that but didn't yet have time to explore further. Too many new nice things came out in the past couple of days, and work / life have been keeping me too busy! (Besides the APT-P there was also the release of the CR123 and TSW:Rapid Transit... And some nice things purchased in various Advent and Christmas sales that I haven't been able to give any attention to yet at all!)

Hoping to find more time for this great piece of DLC soon. Congratulations to all involved with it at DTG!

What's it like on frame rates? Am finding newer items like the DTG voyager with NWC are killing performance on my rig, don't want to run it on lower settings would rather do without if so.

No noticeable impact on frame rates or stutter for me. The tilt is a bit stepped in action, but perhaps that’s how it was in real life? It’s amazing how the tilt brings non superelevation routes back to life.

Very, very good indeed. In particular I enjoy watching the pantograph action as it goes around bends - a most ingenious apparatus on the original, faithfully reproduced in the sim. The train is quite highly scripted I think, so you can forget editing a scenario and then pressing 'play' - you'll get a traction fault, you need to exit and start to play from the menu.

I opened the template scenario - good idea, that one and I've already started to clone and tinker with it.

I took a look at the C-APT markers - that seems to be a very involved process, so I'm not surprised DTG thought that the best way seems to provide the template. The very first one out of Preston seems to have its track link stretching out many, many miles - I followed the ribbon to Preston before I gave up. Perhaps it goes all the way to Carlisle? So I think setting C-APT will not be easy! Here's hoping someone delves deep enough, and feels brave enough, to create a template scenario for WCML-N.

Overall very happy indeed with this one.

I've not had a chance to try this set yet - it will be an Xmas pressie from the missus :)
As the WCML over Shap is set up for Pendolinos I wonder if you can use those boards for high speed running?

I agree the panto action is great, it could only be improved by the addition of a SPARK ! Be aware of that C-APT alarm though, if you are watching the panto from outside :D .

A speed template scenario for WCMLN and WCMLTV would really be good.

Its also a pity they chose to use the TRBS vehicle for the passenger view, as I presume the test trains, and hence the higher speed runs over 125 mph used in the included scenarios, did not use this vehicle.

Perhaps it would have been better to use the TF or TS units for the passenger view ? Still we can't have everything and its still a great bit of DLC.

It doesn't seem to be that *clever*---the limits applying to all traction through a scenario specific edit to the ScenarioNetworkProperties.bin file.
The magnets/markers are possibly defined in the scenery tiles that are supplied.

(https://ln.sync.com/dl/bb7583fa0/wuywyb ... j-wd25ppnc for a very quick Standard Scenario test run; class 47 heading north from Preston, shortly after departure you find the line limit is 155mph. Just extract the folder the archive contains into ..\Content\Routes\ce4052d1-669a-4529-b16b-1972fc32913a\Scenarios)

Yes, as the C ATP limits would be in the same places regardless of scenario it does make life a lot easier. The scenario template itself doesn't seem to be the *working* bit though; the changes applied through the afore mentioned Scenery tiles and ScenarioNetworkProperties.bin

Just puzzelled how DTG can claim that it has authentic sounds, about as authentic as other dlc that have made the same claims, unless they have managed to connect the APT to the 25KV system they wont be getting many sounds from it. That said it does look like a very good piece of DLC and as such will be the first item I am going to pay full price for in a very long time.

It's nice to see the wall of love for this in the Steam reviews, but a bit sad that it's only in the (probable) twilight of TS that DTG have produced top notch rolling stock.

Good for them, but it does make me wonder where we would be with TS if the development effort that's gone into TSW had gone into TS instead. Conversion to 64 bit, fixing scenery load stutterring, multiplayer etc. and redesigning it for future development. Oh well, I can speculate, but for now products like the APT give me plentry of reasons to stick with TS for quite a few years yet.

Already done; they named it TSW......

It's probably easier to write a new code base than convert 32bit to 64, otherwise we'd have 64bit versions of everything.

Its a lot easier said than done :) - 64 bit would probably solve some problems, although it possibly won't fix the load stutter but it would still be a 10+ year old engine, and Unreal 4 is still being updated and is very recent compared to the ts game engine of Rail Simulator days, and unreal is actually designed to run with modern computers compared to the older one. To make the older ts engine as good as unreal would probably be almost impossible.
Something goes here??

As the nose can be lifted is it possible to tow the APT with a locomotive?
